The property was dirty, holes in walls and staff tried to cover the smell of smoke in the rooms with cheap perfumes. The room I was in looked like the door had been busted down and did not properly lock. I was in town for state championships and ended up sleeping in another friends room at a different hotel. I did end my stay a day early and checked into another hotel. The pictures on the website were not accurate and Wyndham was not even part of their brand. There is no way this hotel has 4 stars.

The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. The one elevator broke down and my room was on the 4th floor. The toilet was very low and the bed was high making it difficult for an elderly woman to use. I wanted to take a shower but the shower had mold in it. The building appeared to be in desperate need of maintenance and repairs. However, the front desk staff was quite pleasant. The complementary breakfast was rather good and the woman servicing it was very attentive to the breakfast area.

Initial room wasn't clean. Got sent to a different room which was fair. Elevator not working. No hot water. Whole place smelled like pot. Thumbs up to the guy behind the desk who tried his best

Staff very friendly, rooms clean. Bed comfortable. Only complaint was that the hot water wasn’t very hot. In shower turned all the way as hot as it would go, it was barely warm. On the first day of our stay I informed front desk staff that the hot water didn’t seem to be working properly and they said they would have the maintenance person check it. On day 3 I still took a very fast Luke warm shower. Otherwise our stay was fine.

While the staff was very friendly. My party and I got to the room to find the TV was not working and there was no internet had I known this prior to checking in I would’ve chosen another place. I also felt the manager on duty (who checked us in knew this). On a scale of 5 stars I give this place -1

uh where to start? wifi was not working; tv in our room was not working; breakfast was out of milk and yoghurt; sidedoor to building was altered so it would not lock; bugs in room and an open bag of potato chips was in the nightstand. Hallway smelled of smoke but our room at least did not smell of smoke. Staff was very friendly but seemed to have no ability to improve anything.

Well when I walked in it looked so rundown but I thought maybe the rooms are decent. So I checked in and went to my room it was terrible. So outdated and so small. The tub actually had burn marks in it from cigarettes plus there were box elder bugs on the window. The picture on the website wasn’t the same as what you purchased. Very misleading! It was so bad I told them I wasn’t staying so of course they made me pay for one night then when I got my bank statement they took the whole amount of what was supposed to be a 4 night stay. Expedia should do better on allowing this kind of deceptive pictures on their website. I showed the staff the pictures Expedia had for this Baymont facility and he even said no that’s not correct. I’ll never use it again. I’m still attempting to get my money back they took from me. The staff said they would only charge for one night and they even lied about this.

The lock didn't work, toilet plugged during the night, no towels or soap, shower didn't work. neighbors were loud late into the night. We got no sleep because they kept slamming their door and talking loudly in the hall with the people next door. Their dog was barking causing my dog to bark. it was an all around horrible experience. It ruined our visit with our family because we were too tired to participate.

The location right off the highway was good, not a noisy location. Parking was good. Condition of the rooms and building was good. No issues with the breakfast. The reviews from other websites with low ratings are wrong. We had no problems with hotel and Expedia.

Disappointing stay
We only stayed one night, but there were several concerns. The hallway smelled bad. There was a space in the room where a mini-fridge probably should have been, but it was not there. At about 2:30 am, the fire alarm went off. We woke the kids and were about to run outside when it stopped again. And then we noticed someone had tampered with the alarm in our room and put a plastic bag over it. When I went to ask for more towels in the evening, there were two families who had reserved rooms earlier, but were told that there were no rooms for them. After a long discussion with the clerk, they left to find rooms elsewhere. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

This was the noisiest motel I have ever stayed at.I m a sound sleeper but still got woken up 4 times on this night. The room was clean put carpet dirty due to age.

Horrible stay after Room was oversold
Unfortunately, I was called at 9 PM on the night I reserved that there was an "issue" at the Baymont by Wyndham Kalamazoo and that they had sold my reserved room to someone else. They put me into the Baymont Kalamazoo East -- which was absolutely terrible. Room smelled like smoke, old hotel with outside entry into rooms, paint peeling, holes in wall of bathroom - just nasty. Because it was late and likely no where else to stay, I had to stick it out. Very concerned I was going to get bed bugs. Will never stay in a Baymont again and likely not to use Hotels.com if they cannot guarantee that a room they sell via the Hotels.com site will actually be available when a traveler arrives.

I was provided a room that was not clean. Beds were not made, garbage on floor, messy bathroom. Pictures added. I went back to service desk and was given another room however, not much better. They need to do major updates.

Ugh. Sold out and had no choice
This is one of the worst hotels in KZoo, our room totally smelled like cigarette smoke. It was homecoming weekend so it was sold out but man oh man, we won’t be staying here again. Only two pillows per bed, and the pillows were flat. The bed was super hard and was like on springs so every time you moved, springs making all kinds of sounds. The shower curtain hasn’t been replaced in a long time since the bottom part was all brown and discolored. It just felt and looked dirty.

Pictures online are not what property looks like. Sheets dirty. Toilet tilts side to side. Cigarettes burns on tub, toilet, and sink. Smoke alarm goes off in middle of night every night. Asked for more towels, was told we needed to stay 3 days to get room cleaned, new towels, and sheets. Trash in hallways never picked up all weekend. Front desk not authorized to do anything ti assist.

Evening receptionist was giving other people the wrong rooms and room keys. We had someone walk into our room! Sink was leaking water all over the floor. The bed frame was broken and the bed was sloping to the side. Bathroom flooded from the ceiling light while I was using the bathroom. The receptionist would not change rooms for me. He said the hotel was booked, but the website showed rooms available.

My stay was pretty good. Only real complaints were no remote for the tv and it only got one channel. And there was red candle wax all over the bathroom floor. We told the night shift clerk. On our way to dinner. About this and when we came back nothing was done.. day shift clerk was great.. overall I would still give 4out of 5 stars

Needs grab bars in bathroom
Despite the staff, being very helpful, there was no water in the vending machines, and no cups or ways to drink water in the room. I stayed in a handicapped room, and the bathtub had only surround grab bars just above the edge. It really needed to have grab bars that were vertical. Seems somewhat dangerous in that respect.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed at the most disgusting property. There was blood on my sheets. And my husband was greeted by two false eyelashes in the shower. 0/10. Do not stay here. I was told when checking out that there manager was going to contact me. They took all my money have not offered any kind of compensation.

They were literally selling drugs out of the parking lot. A security door propped open with a bed frame and no one appeared to care. The security deadbolt on room didn’t work. Pics were NOTHING at all like actual rooms. Shower head had black mold, internet didn’t work and the bedding smelled like cat piss
