Uncomfortable Beds
Sleeping is a fundamental aspect of any hotel stay. The hotel provided me with a unsatisfactory single bed without a mattress just a single mattress topper and low quality bedding -Therefore, a very uncomfortable stay and sleepless nights .Sleep

A good hotel with lots of parking space. Very easy to arrive on a car. Very close to the city center.

Great view compromised by illogical poor service
It was good to arranged for a late check in as my train arrives after 10pm. I stayed for 4 nights and the stay got worse as the week progressed. A few points. The spa section is run by a separate company, all with extra costs, with a small swimming pool not really suitable for swimming. The massage was a booked for an hour, upon arrival, was told it would only be for 30 minutes with no explanations. The massage made my muscles even more sore and I then had to see a physio to fix the problem caused by the masseuse. The chamber maid did not keep the room tidy. Beds were not made. Tea tray uncleaned. Tea mugs were washed in the room without detergent, instead of being replaced with clean ones. No coffee in the room. The refurbished design of the room is illogical. Although they have seat to help support old people and ppl using wheelchair, it isn't actually functionable, for a person who needs assistance to use the toilet and shower. The breakfast was ok with a wide selection of continental breakfast options. The view to the park is lovely, and I recommend requesting to be on that side. The rooms can be seen from the central high tower, so be easy of privacy. Given the many flaws i do not recommended this place unless you plan to go there for the view of the park. If its closely located to the flora tram stop, lots of car parking, a reasonable breakfast and rooms have new tv screens that are connected to the Internet for channels like Netflix, YouTube, Prime.. Lots to improve in

Convenient location, only a short walk to the city center. The hotel itself was a bit too outdated and would really benefit from some renovations. There is a small waterpark and a small gym in the same building.

Excellent service and great location
This is an old place and there is nothing much to do about it but compensate with a good service - and luckily this is what we got from the lovely receptionist (sorry for not asking for her name) who made our stay perfect and even helped us with the reservation for our next day. Gym is HUGE! Thanks One thing - kitchen stuff should change their attitude. and close the kitchen at 9:30, not 9:00- as the sign says.

Two person room is straight from the dormitory. There is even central radio installed on the wall. Everything is worn out and there is a peanut under sofa pillow.

Cramped for two
Room was small and a bit worn out. Needs renovations soon. Hallway carpets don’t look good. Bathroom was tiny and had some broken grout, black bits. Didn’t want to take a shower in that small space. Our beds were on separate walls, this room might work for a single traveler better.

Great area to visit
Great stay close to downtown. Big and comfortable rooms with nice amenities, gym and swimming pools. There is a lot of history and beautiful nature in this area, would recommend a visit to the castle ruins close by.

Not really a holiday hotel
The hotel had lost one ofour 2 room reservations. The family room given in stead was functional with 2 bathrooms. The room was hot and overlooked a main road so open windows were noisy. Restaurant options were very limited on a Sunday night. Would only stay in Kajaani if I absolutely had to. Scandic hotel was Ok but pool out of order and little for kids to do. It would be fine for a business overnight stay.

Clean centrally located hotel
This is a good place to stay if you need to stay within Kajaani city limits, other than being a fairly plain building, the accommodations were clean and comfortable WIFI worked well. The staff was pleasant and helpful. no issues at all, unable to comment on amenities as was only there for one night, I would say however the included breakfast buffet was average compared to other European hotels I have stayed at. The rate was a bit high but there is not much else to choose from in the area

Staying in Kajaani? This is a good choice.
The room was small, and very hot. We arrived during a heat wave, and there was no air conditioning. That meant we could not enjoy the private sauna attached to our bathroom...a great feature! The room was not attractive, but it was clean and functional. The staff were amazing!!!! The gentleman at reception went out of his way helping us clarify problems at our final destination, making several long distance phone calls, and searching the internet. The waitress who served us dinner the night we arrived hot and cranky was a lovely lady. The food was excellent, both dinner and the breakfast buffet. The hotel is surrounded by tall pines, and a lake is close by. Hotel bikes are available. Not a fancy place, but recommended.

Erittäin hyvä kokemus
Erittäin hyvä kokemus. Hyvin pidetty suuri hotelli, jossa sai väenpaljoudesta huolimatta nukkua rauhassa lauantaiyönä. Huone oli tilava ja siisti, sängyt mukavat. Henkilökunta oli todella ystävällistä, jäi hyvä mieli. Aamiainen todella kattava ja maukas. Paljon kivoja erikoisuuksia. Hintaan kuului vielä alivuokralaisena olevan laadukkaan kuntosalin käyttöoikeus, mikä oli todella kiva lisä. Ensi kerralla, kun on asiaa Kajaaniin, yövyn ehdottomasti täällä.
