We had a large earthquake during our stay

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Pros: The units are delightful
Location: Beautiful part of the world
These guys were amazing during the disaster that was a 7.5 magnitude earthquake. I would definitely come back and Alpine View would be my first choice for accommodation

Cons: Nothing to improve on! We loved our stay. Great to have free wifi and a super comfy bed.
Location: An easy walk to town centre. Mini golf, supermarket and cafes close by.

Close to ocean

Posted 30-Oct-2016 on Lastminute
Pros: Price, close to beach,
Cons: Bathroom was a bit small and pokey
Location: Close to town, supermarket and food shops
This motel was on the outskirts of Kaikoura. The staff were pleasant. The rooms were comfortable. Train line out the back but I didn't hear the train in the night.

Pros: Staff helpful and friendly, easy access to the beach, playground for the kids outside the u it was handy.
Cons: Double glazing needed to lower train noise though with where tracks are doubt would block but would assist. Upgrade in units, a few issues
Location: Beach handy walk but be aware of crossing train tracks with young kids, seal swim, whale watch, fishing tours including for crayfish, restaurants etc
Trains at the unit door were annoying through the night, double glazing wouldnt go astray. rooms could do with an update but when tired from a long drive it was good. Staff was lovely and helpful so would return again for the service.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, big bed with kitchenet
Cons: No
I enjoyed my short stay at this motel. Friendly manager (he gave me lemons from his tree) and a nice comfortable and relaxing feel to this place.
