great place to stay

Posted 11-Sep-2017
Pros: Friendly staff and helpful staff, facilities .location great, Had a lovely massage at the hotel really enjoyed (prices are very reasonable)
Cons: Make sure that all gym equipment is in good working order
Location: Location is great close to sights and if you don't want to walk there are plenty of train stations, buses and trams.
Great location if coming from airport the 100e bus goes to Astoria and then it's just a short walk to hotel. Close to train station Astoria, Kalman Ter and walking distance to Deak Ferenc Ter . Lots of shops and restaurants close by too. Had a fantastic time in Budapest visiting all the sights. Buda, fishermans bastion , then the opera house. Go to the main market which is a ten minute walk from the hotel and try the langos and other Hungarian foods. Lots of yummy cakes , bakery items, cheeses, small goods and of course fruit. Walk along Vaci Utca and go to the Gerbaut and New York for morning or afternoon tea. Visit heros square and have a swim at szechenyi. Plan on coming back again real soon

Central location

Great hotel with spa! Stayed in room 407 which had The only Balcony. The staff should be just a little bit more up to date with things that Really relates to tourists such as a new bus line that was introduced to The city that goes from The AirPort to The city 100e. We found that out by ourselves. Other than that The rooms need a little bit more sound isolation. Other than that it was a great hotel at a central location.

A couple of days in Budapest

Posted 30-Aug-2017
It is a very lovely hotel off the main road in the heart of Budapest. It is quiet and very well-maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. We appreciated being able to store our luggage after check-out in order to see a few more sites before going to the airport. Our only two issues were that they didn't offer free or less expensive breakfast. It would have been nice to offer at least coffee/tea complimentary. Also, the A/C didn't drop below 26 C, which is rather warm after a long day of site seeing in hot, humid weather. However, the A/C preferences in hotels seems to be warmer in other areas of Hungary as well.

We stayed for 3 nights, room clean spacious and very high ceilings. Staff where very polite and friendly and even helped me when I had no water late in the evening (just a mix up with the taps) central to shops and attractions. Tried and had a massage a sauna to . Worth a visit. Thank you

4* but nothing about the hotel is 4*

Posted 23-Aug-2017
My friend and I visited Budapest for a weekend city break and chose this hotel for location and the spa. It was the biggest disappointment. The bed had men's hair on there, the window curtains was broken as well as dusty with lots of spiders, the carpet was filthy I did not want to put my foot on the floor and no kettle was provided!! Now onto the bathroom, 4* hotels should provide showercaps and ear buds etc, nothing was provided but one tiny hand soap and a bottle of body wash and hair shampoo! The shower was just a dirty. It was a nightmare stay and the air condition didn't work properly either. Although I can say the hotel spa was nice and relaxing but the jacuzzi was a little small and got cramped at times. I will not be returning to Budapest or the hotel.

Clean modern rooms with easy access to the city

Posted 30-Jul-2017
Stayed at Hotel Museum with my 15 year old son for a week. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Cosy spa and gym. Within easy walk to the city- about 10- 15 minutes. Close to metro stop and bus route. Only drawback is cost of breakfast at €12 each when you can explore local cafes and have your first meal of the day for half the cost. We prefer to do this anyway to prop up the local economy. Would recommend this hotel overall.

Nice hotel with good location

Posted 21-Jul-2017
Pros: Location is excellent. Walking distance from main square (Astoria) which has metro station, bus stop, number of cafe/restaurants/shops.
Cons: Towels in the room. They were clear but too much used already. Were torn.
Location: Astoria square which is 5 minute walk from hotel has metro station, bus stop, shops, hop on hop off bus stop & also very close to bank of river.
Checkin was quick. Parking was very close to hotel. Hotel doesn’t has own parking but safe & close to hotel. Hotel not big & therefore environment is cozy. Staff is good & ready to help. Breakfast is good but very few choice for vegetarians. Room was clean & comfortable. Location is extremely good.

Perfect in every way

The hotel was situated steps from downtown and the bar district. Concierge was very helpful in arranging bath tickets and transportation for us. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

Lovely hotel, close to transport links

Posted 03-Jul-2017
Pros: Good location and modern boutique style
Cons: Spa only open in evening, so did not use
Location: Walkable to restaurants, ruin bars and shops but lots of transport options, if you want to go further afield
Well located for access to city, lovely staff and excellent breakfast.
