Lovely stay on the countryside
We loved our stay. It was peaceful and relaxing. A small garden shaded by trees and a beautifully designed splash pool. You will probably need a car to go shopping and visit the magnificent villages of the Luberon and restaurants. Private parking just outside the property.

Very nice house
Good spacious solid built house with thick walls so cool in summer. All amenities very good. Slightly shady garden so sunbathing short period. Nice plunge pool. Could have extra covers on beds if it gets cold at night. Good internet. Very nice all round.

A comfortable base in Provence
The property, which is near Gargas rather than Joucas, is a comfortable base from which to visit many of the well- known hill towns, such as Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, Goult and Saignon. Slightly further afield are the charming towns of Isle- sur- la - Sorgue and Lourmarin. There are well- stocked supermarkets in Apt and Coustellet ( which also has a good small bakery) and weekly markets in many of the nearby towns. The house has a well- equipped kitchen for those who wish to eat in, and for those who would like to eat out but close by, there is an attractive hotel within walking distance, where dinner is served in a courtyard under the trees. The hotel is called Mas de la Tour, and you must book for dinner by lunchtime. The splash pool is a welcome retreat in hot weather, and the shady trees in the front garden help to keep the area cool. The owners are a charming couple, who know the area very well and are happy to advise on places to visit, restaurants, markets and other matters of interest.

Charming!
My husband and I stayed here for two weeks in summer 2018. We loved the authentic Provencal architecture and decorative elements. The house was not only charming, but also very functional. The kitchen was well equipped, and we cooked most of our meals at home, and ate in the pretty front courtyard. The splash pool was a life saver during the heat wave. A very comfortable and charming house--wish I could have lingered longer!

Perfectly located home that exudes French charm. Beautifully decorated and a delightful home base.
This property is surrounded by exquisite villages in every direction and Marine and Christophe provided wonderful guidance on the places that are incredible but not yet inundated with tourists. We felt we were living as locals in a dream house. The rooms were spacious and cool. The garden and the small terrace provided tranquil spots to rest in the shade or under the stars. The house is lovingly decorated and to walk in the door is to feel immediately at home and relaxed. We simply cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our week here as there were astoundingly beautiful sights around every turn in the road. We will certainly come back.

Delightfully French
A lovely authentic french home. Clean and well kept the property is very comfortable for a number of people. We were two and did not fully use all of the amenities. The walled garden provided a cool relief from the mid-day sun. The home is warmly decorated and includes a dishwasher, and lots of art. We made day trips to all of the beaux villages because it was centrally located. A great place for hiking and bike riding. Accessible restaurants shopping and local markets. We would love to come again.

Lovely comfortable house with everything we needed
Within reach of lots of interesting sights and Provencal markets, with a super outdoor pool 10 mins away. Would recommend the property and area to all Francophiles!

Charming Provence house
It is a very charming Provence house with antique furniture, well appointed rooms giving a cozy and quaint feeling. Loved the fireplaces in the kitchen, living room and main bedroom. Good take off place to explore the wonderful Luberon villages. Would have appreciated proper wood for the fireplaces - we had to provide our own. Note: hydro (heating and electricity) is extra.

A Dream Come True
Maison d'LArtistes--Sept.3/16-Oct.1/16 Nestled into the quiet,rural Hameau of Tartuguiere in the Luberon Valley is a little jewel of a country home. My wife and I rented this property for a month---and it is without doubt--the best vacation we have ever had. The owners--both artists--Marine and Christophe were very helpful in every way---always available if need be--but never intrusive. The home is a 19th century setting out of a Dickens novel---lovingly restored with wonderful antigue furniture,from family treasures. The setting is surrounded with vineyards---but several marvelous village towns are all within a 30-45 minute drive away--with wonderful restaurants. We enjoy cooking our own meals,and the kitchen has everything one needs . This is a location for those who have DONE all the major cities of the world,and are looking for a quiet rural retreat. My only fear in writing this review--is that it will be difficult for us to repeat such a wonderful experience--I warn you--book ahead and early! Merci beaucoup, Marine and Christophe. Beautiful home with large rooms
Gorgeous house with nice yard. Close to so many amazing sites. House is full of art. The kids really enjoyed the splash pool in the yard. we used the top terrace to watch the stars at night. We did a lot of reseach before booking a place and this one really has it all... great beds, big rooms, laundry, wireless, satellite tv, gas stove, terrace, yard, cool art, good kitchen set up. The hosts were very accommodating and offered to meet us in the nearby town if we didn't have gps. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

A Comfortable Home in Provence
My husband and I stayed here for three weeks in October, a perfect time to see Provence. The location was great for day trips to see the beautiful area. We returned home each day to enjoy the fireplace and prepare dinner in the kitchen. All of the rooms are large with modern and antique decoration, a good combination. We used the fireplace in the kitchen for breakfast a few times for a nice way to start the day. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, just added vegetables from the market and meat from the butcher. Upstairs the bathroom has a good shower with plenty of hot water. Everything is just as shown in the pictures with very pleasant owners to help you enjoy your stay. The wi-fi worked perfectly!! The front courtyard is small, but large enough to enjoy eating outside plus enjoying the splash pool. It was too cool for us to enjoy this, but we enjoyed the fall color of the vines and trees. I believe you get value for your money here. Oh, and the bed was very comfortable. We had cool nights which I enjoyed with a warm blanket. There is plenty of storage area in the bedrooms. It would be a nice place for a family and just perfect also for a couple!

Unser Aufenthalt in der Nähe von Roussilion
Wir haben das Haus für 5 Nächte gebucht und haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Es handelt sich um ein altes sehr liebevoll restauriertes Haus in einem sehr ruhigen Ort, nur wenige Kilometer von Roussilion entfern. Die Besitzer haben es sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alte Gebrauchsgegenstände, Objekte und Bilder sind liebevoll in den Räumen platziert. Man hat eine eigenen Hof, in dem man gut entspannen kann. Die Lage des Objektes ist hervorragend, von hier aus kann man alle Ziele im Luberon sehr gut erreichen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Vielen Dank!

Une jolie parenthèse enchantée

Belle maison très bien située pour visiter le Luberon
Nous avons bien apprécié cette maison ancienne dont les murs épais permettent de vivre au frais malgré de fortes chaleurs. La petite cour extérieure est très agréable, le bassin plus que vivifiant ! La maison est entre Apt et Roussillon, elle est bien placée pour accéder à de nombreux sites et villages d'intérêt. Nous recommandons vivement !

Ruhiges Haus in perfekter Lage
Wir hatten eine tolle Woche, perfekte Lage als Ausgangspunkt für viele, sehenswerte Orte. Es ist ruhig gelegen und der schattige Hof mit Pool ist super zum Erholen. Marine war eine sehr nette Gastgeberin, immer ansprechbar. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, mit allem was man braucht.

Super séjour
Nous avons passé une très belle semaine. La maison est très agréable malgré les fortes chaleurs que nous avons eu pendant le séjour, la petite piscine à été très appréciés . La position centrale pour découvrir le libérons est idéal. La proximité du magnifique village de Roussillon est également un réel +. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Schönes Ferienhaus in ländlicher Umgebung
Wir haben unseren zweiwöchigen Urlaub im charmanten Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Es war alles vorhanden, was man sich wünscht und benötigt. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der nicht einsehbare Innenhof ist etwas schattig, was im Hochsommer bestimmt sehr willkommen ist. Im kleinen Pool kann man sich an heißen Tagen schön erfrischen. Der nächste Bäcker ist rund 10 Min. entfernt in Roussillon. Richtung Apt gibt es einen Bio-Supermarkt und in Apt befinden sich viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten inkl. einem großen, schönen Markt.

La maison est très jolie mais ...
Jolie maison dont l’intérieur est agréablement décoré et meublé mais elle ne se trouve pas du tout à Joucas comme indiqué sur l’annonce mais plutôt entre Gargas et Roussillon dans un hameau loin d’être typique des jolis hameaux de la région. La maison est mitoyenne des deux côtés et il est donc possible de temps à autres d’entendre les voisins. Suite à un problème les propriétaires ont dû intervenir et tout a été résolu.

liebevoll eingerichtetes Landhaus in bester Lage
Wir haben einen herrlichen Osterurlaub in der Provence bei Marine & Christophe verlebt. Das Haus ist sehr persönlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der kleine Innenhof ist ganz zauberhaft und komplett mit Natursteinen ummauert. Alle 3 Feuerstellen haben wir gerne genutzt - es war noch ziemlich kühl. Das Bett im Masterschlafraum ist einfach großartig. Wir haben selten so gut geschlafen im Urlaub. Die Lage haben wir als perfekt für unsere Unternehmungen empfunden. Lange Wandertouren durch die wunderbare Landschaft sind sowohl direkt vom Haus, als auch nach kürzerer Autofahrt in allen Schwierigkeitsgraden reichlich vorhanden. Alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in 10 Minuten Entfernung (Auto ist notwendig). Marine ist eine ganz reizende Gastgeberin, die da ist, wenn man sie braucht und ansonsten ihren Gästen den nötigen Freiraum gewährt. Einzige kleiner Kritikpunkt: es ist nur wenig Geschirr vorhanden, auch keine tiefen Teller für Suppe oder Pasta. Wir haben uns anders beholfen, aber hier könnte man vielleicht ein wenig nachbessern. Fazit: wir werden sicher noch einmal wiederkommen, um all die schönen Wanderungen zu machen, die wir in den 12 Tagen Urlaub nicht geschafft haben. Merci beaucoup Marine & Christophe

Great house near Roussillon
The house is a really charming place with a shadowy garden. The splash pool is great to cool of after a warm day. The kitchen is well equiped and cosy for evenings when the weather does not allow to spend it outside. I can just guess how the house is when the fire place is used. All in all the house is nicely decorated and it perfectly fits the age of the place. I would come back anytime and stay here again!
