The Johnny Cash Museum opened in 2013 and in the same year was ranked among Nashville’s must-see attractions by both Forbes and National Geographic.
Exhibited here is a collection of family photos and Cash’s U.S. Air Force uniform, which he wore during his enlistment from 1950 to 1954. View an entire wall decorated with the sleeves of 96 albums that featured his original songs. See examples of the singer’s stage outfits, most notably those that coined the nickname, the “Man in Black.” Find some of the many guitars Cash played, in addition to handwritten lyrics and letters.
