It works for a 3 star accommodation hotel. However there appears to be a fundamental Shortage of towels. Be prepared as a guest to get interrupted for dirty towels around 9am and then again about 4pm when clean towels are delivered. Very unusual as the majority of hotels I have stayed in remove dirty towels and replace them at the same time as the daily cleaning of the hotel room.

Does the job
Has all the bases covered - but nothing wow. Amenities are a little dated - the TV channels were not great considering it was a Rugby World Cup match and it was not showing. The food court nearby was not great - closed a little early and the food was not great quality - even for national franchises.

Good location, Eastgate shopping mall just opposite and within walking distance. The apartment was with 2 rooms, spacious.

The property had a generator most places the lights go out. It aslo had a restaurant with a bar which was cool. Front receptionist guy was really nice. I didn't like the bathtub was dirty the appliances was outdated and family of 5 only had 2 towels but that was resolved quickly. The bedrooms DONT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING! So overall its good for the price. The mall is walking distance right across the street. Only 13 minutes from the airport.

Located at entrance 6 to Eastgate mall. Shopping and dining is quick and convenient if you don't have a car. Also close to Lughtsculpt if you want spa treatment for a few days. Kitchenettes are nice, rooms are clean but dated. Furniture is a bit worn but property clean, safe and perfect location.

This hotel needs a bit of renovations, breakfast was ok but the presentation of food needs some work over & a better trained staff. Things are not always consistent with procedures. It is in a good location for my needs, however the area is becoming more dangerous & lots of litter is thrown around with broken sidewalks which deters tourists from the area. Management should be concern about this.

There were a few missteps in communications, but overall the staff was friendly but lacking in knowledgeable places to go. The hotel is in a good location, but walking distance to Bedford Center is dangerous. Taxis service was available but expensive to go short distances. I got the impression many times that they weren't interested in serving guest. The property itself was nice, but renovations are badly needed. Rooms are dark, furniture is very worn, needs updating.

HOTEL SELF NOT PROBLEM BUT THE NOISE FROM THE CLIENTS TERRIBLE. ROOM NEXT TO USE WE COULD NOT SLEEP THEY SLAM THE DOORS UNTILL AFTER 12H00 AT NIGHT. FOR THE FUTURE PLEASE TELL THE PEOPLE TO CONSIDER THE OTHER CLIENTS NEXT TO THEM AS WELL. WE TRAVEL FROM FAR UNDER DIFFICULT SITUATION AND TIRED AND JUST THE NOISE WAS TERRIBLE.

Hotel is amazing. Apartments are cleaned up very well daily. Staff are great, very professional, clean, and friendly. Hotel’s location is perfect and beside the East Gate Mall.

Worst experience ever
Worst couple nights of my life. It is now 3h30am and I cannot sleep, due to loud generators and fans next to my room. There is no ac in the bedroom, so to make matters worse, I have to open windows. There is not even a fan in the bedroom. Our TV has not worked from day one and nobody seems bothered to come and fix it, after enquiring about it several times. We had no kettle in our suite. After walking to front desk, in the rain, to ask about this, we were given a kettle with such a short power cord, that it does not reach the wall socket in the kitchen. I would not come back here if I was paid to do so.

Service was amazing. The front desk lady was brilliant. The room was clean, but for a room that should sleep 4, there was only 1 glass, 2 cups. Many of the lights did not work. We stayed in room 502. If I am ever in Johannesburg again, I will make use of the Mecure hotel as it was overall great and well situated.

Disappointing
This hotel needs a serious upgrade and some new management to oversea the standard of the units / rooms. Linen and towels are old and in terrible condition. Tiles cracked in the bathroom, mirrors old and rusted, toilet seat completely loose and broken. We were a family of 4, staying in a 2 bedroom unit. But the kitchen was equipt with only 2 of everything. Only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towels. No bath mat. When asking for more towels we waited more than 30 min for it. We are very disappointed in the overall standard of this hotel. After complaining, the manager apologized and said he will correct the errors. Needless to say, nothing had changed. Not value for money. Will not stay at any Meecure hotel again. Sadly.

The staff was nice but the heater in the studio was only working in the bedroom. The toilet and the salon were frozen ( especially that it is winter period). The toilet needs a maintenance

Rooms nice and big. Had to wait two hours for towels. House keeping lady very rude. Mouse in the apartment so we had to move into another apartment. Man from reception was very pleasant. Unfortunately neighbours very loud until late.

Nice hotel across the street from great shopping.

The Hotel have all the conditions to be 4 stars: - very well situated with quick access to the airport and a big mall just in front - good space to park the car - room with a large bed and toilet with bathtube and shower - kitchnet But it have an old ambience. Mainly the bathroom needs some modernization.
