This was my second trip to Jodhpur and although the Blue City is really beautiful, this hotel wasn't.
It's close to the airport and not too far from the main attractions of the city center. The hotel is about 3 years old but unfortunately, there are several problems that ruin a guest's experience.
The room I was initially given had severe drainage problems in the bathroom, in that the water didn't drain properly in the shower hence, if you let the shower run even for a few seconds, it immediately pooled. Not exactly a clean feeling when you finish your shower....
The room itself was clean enough but the same could not be said for the restaurant where breakfast was served. There seemed to be a staff shortage and combined with some really thoughtless, dirty guests who seemed to think it was alright to throw their trash on the restaurant floor, the place was not at all appealing first thing in the morning.
Also, some of the staff were completely unaware of basic hygiene practices such as handling food with bare hands.
The front desk staff were keen to help but their limited English sometimes made it difficult to communicate.
The Blue City is a great place to visit but I certainly would not return to this hotel.
