Best hotel and superb staff for Jodhpur.

This is a grand hotel, from entrance to reception to wall paintings to room, everything is grand and huge. Welcome is done with Indian style garlands (unique experience for hotel) and nice welcome drinks. No queue is required for check-in as hotel staff would come and take care of things. You will find huge doors and palace like structures and beautiful huge wall paintings. Near swimming pool they have evening local entertainment like folk dance , magic shows and puppet show. Rooms are overall clean but I would expect more in this area. I was given twin bed room and after found room wasnt clean as per my expectations they moved to another room and there onward my experience with staff and service was EXCEPTIONAL. My kids received 2 small cakes with their names written on it, next day I got anniversary cake, next day received 2 small camel figures and special Rajasthan local pens for kids. (Thanks to Sree) Hotel managers Mr.Vijay and Keshav were fabulous. They packed special food including rolls, sandwiches, fruits , juices , chips and brownies for travel on last day. Literally 6 guys took my luggage to car. It was personal care. EXCELLENT & EXCEPTIONAL.

Very nice property amazing staff.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing - its great
Location: All attractions are within a few minutes drive, location is great.
From the time we entered the property and were greeted with garlands and refreshing drinks, to the staff that checked us in, our experience was amazing. The check in and check out staff was very accommodative, extremely polite and it seems that for years the Taj group seem to have a promise - if something isn't right we will go lengths to make it right. At the restaurants again, the meals were delicious and service exceptional. We happened to one of the senior people know at breakfast that we were leaving for Jaisalmer after and he made us a snack pack for the road as he said your daughter hardly ate and she may get hungry. That's caring!!

The hotel is a very nicely put together walled garden environment in a quiet neighborhood. Very bad luck that the govt has put a flyover offramp just in front of the hotel entrance. The property was nicely maintained and the staff very responsive and attentive. Not in a vibrant area or near the centre, the hotel has the advantage of being a quiet place to come back to.

Plan to stay here when you wish to visit Jodhpur. You shall not regret. Plan to stay for more than one day. It's more recommendable. Spare some more time in the hotel to do activities other than seeing jodhpur. It would be refreshing

Edificio molto bello e lussuoso curato nei minimi dettagli, le camere spaziose e comode letto king size comodissimo . consigliato a chi non vuole stare nel caos della città perché la posizione è fuori dal centro ma raggiungibile in 10 minuti

I was originally confused by the discrepant reviews but after staying at the property I understand. The property itself on a large scale is quite beautiful but it needs a thorough renovation and better day to day maintenance on the smaller things. We asked for and stayed in a renovated room - however, while the room was beautifully decorated, the actual mattresses were low quality and not comfortable and the bathroom did not appear to be renovated (maybe it was as light renovation). Hopefully a more extensive renovation is planned for the bathrooms. In addition, upon closer examination, the carpets, the edges and the edges in the hallway were all dirty. On a positive note, the service from the restaurant manager was over-the-top wonderful. His exemplary service alone changed what would have been a mediocre experience into a wonderful one. My 5 yr old daughter was upset at 10:00pm and hungry because she had not liked any of the food at dinner - the manager took it upon himself to make her all the things she likes and ensured a happy girl and mom before sleep. Overall, the property has the makings of a 5 star property but just needs to be renovated more completely and maintained a bit better on the little things. We look forward to giving it another try because our experience with the staff was so great.

Very Satisfying stay

Pros: Spacious rooms, buffet breakfast, live entertainment, courteous staff
Cons: Pipe fixtures in rooms were old and not working properly.
Location: Very good location. We used uber to get around. All the major attractions are near. The mehrngarh fort is the best attraction of all. Engage a guide
We enjoyed our stay here. The buffet breakfast was very good. The hotel is very spacious as it is a palace converted into a hotel. Staff are super nice and helpful. The only thing that could have been better is all the plumbing inside hotel looks old so taps and faucets were not working properly. Everything else is excellent. Don't miss the Olympic sized swimming pool.

Pros: Recreation room for kids really kept them engaged and busy.. very well maintained
Cons: Room service is really bad.. very slow.. avg. wait time is 20min. .
Heritage property.. Nice rooms, decent breakfast. Try to go in for pool facing room that too with balcony for optimum experience.
