Been here before, loved it, so happy to return. First night wasn't so great. 4 very noisy people in a shared pool until 2200. Also, one of those men, came into our 'private' villa and I saw him urinating near our bedroom window! Complained to staff and the next day, we were moved into a quieter, more private villa. Thankfully. The last 3 nights were much more enjoyable. Would have been difficult, if we hadn't been offered a change of villa.

The water closet and shower faucet facilities are set up either outdoor without cover or close to plantations without partition to separate. It is very difficult to use them during the season of sporadic rainy days. We somehow understand the concept behind trying to engage the guests more to the nature. I could see clearly the full moon when I took a shower, on a rainless day. But one can only appreciate the design on a rainless day, while it could become a design fault on a rainy day.
Roosters are all very busy yelling in the morning, sometimes they could be heard even in the afternoon. Birds yell at night. Thing is, sofa is cozy but mosquitos are not.
We stayed for two weeks in this serene and picturesque resort. The location on Jimbaran beach was breathtaking as the hotel is positioned along a pristine private beach. Don't let the garden view cottage description fool you, the private beach is never more than a stone throws away. The villa was intimate and well appointed. Cleaned twice a day by a fantastic team. They even returned 10 cents found in a pocket during laundry. The general manager Charles is a gentleman through and through - he made us feel welcome and catered to all out needs. The service and hospitality was second to none. Could not recommend this resort enough.
We stayed here for 3 nights after 8 nights in kuta as a wind down. And it was perfect for that. The rooms are so beautiful you don't want to leave. We had a pool access room. It was huge, beautiful bathroom and decor. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The food was amazing. Best buffet breakfast !! the only thing me and my partner thought was it isn't as big as it looks online, and in our three days we couldn't manage to get a pool lounge once. So we were lucky we had entry to pool from our room :) overall would recommend ! And get pool access !

Me and my husband had a 2N stay in this villa for our honeymoon. This villa is not nearby the airport but we managed to get a private driver to send us there (this driver eventually became our 1 day chauffeur). When we first reached at the reception, we were impressed by their customer service. The staff is friendly, patient and polite in explanation of facilities in their villa and answering all our enquiries.
Plants and flowers are planted around the area, sometimes we can see honey bees buzzing around the flowers, too. It is totally a relaxing surrounding. We took a 5min walk to reach our room. Amazed, amazed, amazed. The villa was extremely spacious and facing one side of the hill. Besides, we can smell fragrance of woods coming from the floor and the furniture. We were welcomed by a fruit platter and few pieces of cakes, and these will be refilled the next day. Again, the hotel staff was very patient in explaining and introducing facilities in the room, as well as how to on the button for the private pool. We suddenly noticed that we have forgotten to bring a universal adapter but the staff offer himself to walk all the way out to the reception to get us one (foc). Thumbs up for the customer service. Much to my surprise the breakfast they served was ala carte and delicious too.
Gonna stop writing as I don't think there is enough space for me to continue writing. Overall it's a great deal, reasonable price with superb service and facilities.
We stayed at the Ahimsa between 3/1/2016 to 10/1/2016 in Villa 6 which is a 3 bedroom villa with private pool. The standard of accommodation was excellent given the extra large bedrooms and large spacious common areas which met our requirements. The staff were excellent and special mention to INDA as she made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us and made our stay very special.
Below is a list of PROS and CONS related to this establishment.
Extremely comfortable and spacious in the traditional Balinese style;
Close to Jimbaran Beach (within 200m walk from Hotel);
Remote location away from the hustle and bustle;
Pleasing and attentive staff;
Close to Jimbaran Beach which has the most awesome seafood dining experience, literally served on the beach
Free Shuttle service to Kuta (discovery mall) provided to Discovery Mall in Kuta (this is available from
Location is away from the hustle and bustle and is remote, that is to say that apart from the numerous local restaurants available on the beach (where the seafood is excellent), there is nothing else to do and if you are wanting a place to go for a drink to chill-out or a bar to listen to some music, well you can forget it as there is nothing around within walking distance;
Room service options are limited;
Mosquitoes galore (in spite of best intentions of the staff to keep them at bay with the use of mosquitoes coils, incense etc). Make sure you take plenty of Aerogard and mossie bite protection;
Some of Bali’s finest hotels call Jimbaran Bay home. Only 5-10 km south of Ngurah Rai airport, the bay is considered one of Bali’s most picturesque stretches of white sand beach. Still a working fishing village, the daily departure of the local fleet against the sunset is a popular attraction. The beachfront is lined with seafood restaurants offering excellent views over the tranquil waters, and is a comfortable 10-20 km from the frenetic markets and nightlife to the north.
