Affordable option to visit NYC
We stayed here only so the visit to NYC was affordable, as rooms IN Times square are $400 plus. The shuttle TO NYC was GREAT. $3 dropped off right near Times Square. The shuttle BACK....not so much. We were told the shuttle runs 6a-midnight. We allowed extra time to get to the shuttle location, and when we attempted to find gate #51 as directed by the staff, at the bus terminal, at 10:30pm, we were told that the gate was CLOSED so we had to go up to ticketing and find help. There is no help on the weekends. There was no ticket booth personnel or anything. Luckily a kind officer (we came across a few that were not kind) directed where to go. When we finally reached the gate, there was not a SHUTTLE VAN like we were told to get on. It was a large tour bus, unmarked, and it was not $3. We were unsure it was correct bc it was unmarked, and there is often a language barrier. We did make it back. Make sure you get off at the top of the hill. It did snow 4 inches while we were there, so the walk back, was very slick, since it was not plowed or shoveld in any way.
The rooms, were semi clean, for a super 8, the beds are very FIRM to put it nicely. The pillows were GREAT! It was nice there was no carpet. The heat was strange, ours was either on or off. When we entered our room, it was freezing, we turned the heat on, only to find out the windows were wide open, it was 30 degrees. The staff was very kind. Breakfast was PACKED but waffles were delish.

Thank you for staying with us, and we do apologize for any inconvenience, as you might have heard that their were an attack at the Port-Authority on 12-12. So there will be Gate closers for such reason. But As the Clerks mentioned to you , the buses do run until midnight.
We will continue to work hard to make sure all Guest are comfortable.
