We had a great time in NYC. The Kimptom Hotel Theta was awesome. The beds were super comfy, the location is fantastic, close to so much, and the staff were great. We would definitely stay again.

This property averaged 4 stars in reviews and while it was nice and the rooms were spacious, the little things that earn 4 stars were missing. For instance, coffe was only a complimentary for a few hours then you had to pay for it, cups in the rooms were paper, and the concierge didn’t get you a cab. While these things are insignificant they add up to a 3.5 star hotel.

Loved out r stay at the Kimpton Theta. The only thing I wish I wish I would have done was asked for a farthest room from the fire station. I’m a light sleeper and I’ve woken up several times each night because of their siren noise.

Other than the TV freezing up from time to time, everything else was excellent. How, watching TV was not my priority so I was otherwise extremely satisfied. It’s just that before bed when I watched the news the TV hesitating quite often was distracting. Highly recommend for cleanliness, convenience and services.

A definite must stay if you’re looking for a charming boutique hotel in Manhattan within walking distance to just about everything with the subway and bus station nearby. The hotel even offered a car service to the airport which we had to pay for but I found a nice touch so we didn’t have the headache of having to call an Uber. It was a nice luxury vehicle too. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and professional from the daily room service staff, maintenance crew, front desk personnel, doorman, to management; everyone was courteous and made us feel welcomed every day of our stay with a friendly hello and good bye as we entered and exited the property. I can’t wait until their rooftop lounge is opened in May. I will be back just to enjoy that. It’s perfectly located near time square, broadway…..everything is close, that is one of the best parts about Kimpton Hotel Theta. My family accompanied me and it also turned out to be a great family hotel. I only gave the surroundings around the hotel four stars because of the occasional NYC squalor and disheartening increase in homelessness and vagrants. However, once you step into the hotel, you are transported into a totally different experience. Also, the television same to lag. I’m not sure it was the internet or because they were doing work to improve the experience. Just look out for that. There was complimentary tea and coffee from 7 to 9 with various continental breakfast options for purchase which was a nice touch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kimpton Hotel Theta. The staff was amazing and made us feel very welcome; they went above and beyond to make sure our mother/daughter trip was perfect. My rollator didn’t make it on our flight, so the airline sent a brand new one to the hotel, and hotel staff took great care in making sure I received it. I ended up donating it to the hotel in the event a future guest would need it. The room was very spacious and clean, and the remodel of our room was very nice. The restaurant wasn’t quite ready, so the hotel directed us to Carnegie Diner for breakfast, which was wonderful…we ate there every morning during our visit. We loved how close the hotel was to the theatre district, restaurants and shopping. We spent one of our days in SoHo and the cab picked us up in front of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to my next visit to NYC.

Steps away from the theater and restaurants. Parking was right next-door. Staff was courteous and efficient only downside. It’s a little noisy if you’re facing the street, I alway travel with earplugs so no problem

Good location, straddling the Theater District and Hells Kitchen. Large rooms—by NYC standards. Comfortable beds. Good lighting. Coffee (not fancier drinks) is free at a window from 6 - 9 a.m. Housekeeping comes early (9 a.m.).

This hotel is a great location for anyone attending Broadway shows. Great staff, happy hour with wine and nice area for sitting in lobby. It is very close to a fire department so can be noisy at night - but everywhere in NYC is. We were assigned a room that had a door to the next guest - avoid if you can - it is literally like being in the same room.

I'm a big fan of Kimpton. I've stayed with them before in other cities and the experience was great. This stay was no exception. We had issues with the key cards off the hop, but this was easily corrected, but the keys stopped working again prior to checking out on our last morning. We also required a repair to our room fridge as it was not working. As far as the room itself, was one of the most well appointed spaces I've stayed in in NYC. The water pressure in the shower could have been better, but hey, its an older building. This is a great location as well. Close to times square and seconds from Broadway shows, setting out on foot is no problem.

The beds are terrible. Far too soft and even in a king size, if one person moves the other feels it. There is no ventilation in the bathrooms. Showers are quite small. The woman running the coffee stall is exceptionally rude. And during my stay there were frequent elevator problems. However, the location is fantastic. Near enough to anything and everything and just yet pretty quiet at night. Times Square is close, many theatres just around the corner, fantastic diner right across the street.

Property was new and clean. Beds were mostly comfortable. Location was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient. I would suggest that the hotel refill the water in the lobby as it runs out early or have water in the rooms for guests. Small thing but would have been nice.

Location was great. Housekeeping was daily and excellent. Bed was comfy and our room on the 14th floor was quiet. They had a wine happy hour and was free but charged for the coffee bar in the morning. My husband and I don’t drink so we didn’t participate in the wine happy hour. Staff was not as friendly and when asked about local restaurants, they had no recommendations. Otherwise our stay was great.
