Beautiful property with freezing pool. The pool swim up bar was closed the whole time. Breakfast was amazing. Staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was a little small, but had a nice view. I would stay here again.

We loved the location with direct access to the gorgeous beach. The food was acceptable and a little different each day. The staff was excellent! So friendly! Would stay here again!

The AC was not working in our room and staff didn’t seem that concerned. They put us in a different room the first night at 11pm because it was so warm but that room didn’t cool down either. Maintenance came by and changed air filter but that wasn’t the problem. Hotel didn’t do anything accommodate us even after I told them my friend had heart issues.

Love that they meet you at the ferry and take your bags. The walk to the hotel is much more enjoyable without luggage. Hotel is huge! Rooms are modern, very clean, a bit tight in size but we’re out enjoying Hvar so that’s fine. Bed is ok…. A bit firm. Love the bathroom products but note there is no blow dryer or washcloths.

Reception not very welcoming, not helpful in finding our room which was as far from reception as it could be down multiple corridors, stairs, etc. Room had many broken items that we stopped asking for assistance. Was probably a great hotel when it first opened, but just seems to be running on autopilot now with hotel admin staff uninterested in making a great experience for guests. (serving staff was better).

Wonderful stay at Amfora
During our recent stay we were extremely happy with the level of professionalism and service from all staff. Exceptional responsiveness and willingness to help make our stay comfortable. They truly went out of their way to ensure all details were taken care of, so we could enjoy our vacation. The transfers to and from our hotel were seamless, especially getting back to Dubrovnik for an earlier flight. Thank you for going above and beyond to create an incredible experience.

The view and the pool were very nice. Hotel staff not personable. Corridors and rooms were communist area. Could not control the AC. It was either off or on. Tub would not drain. Bed and pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. Don’t know why this property makes the list of best in Hvar at 4 stars. By US standards it’s a 3.

Looked much better on the internet than in real life. We stayed here in a suite during late summer 2023. We had high hopes but were severely disappointed. Pros: 1. Location - ten-minute stroll to the vibrant waterfront / dock area of Hvar. 2. Easy to use wifi (when it worked). 3. Decent (not great) breakfast buffet, Negatives: 1. Dysfunctional rooms with very little storage or shelf space, both in the room and in the bathroom. Our junior suite was smaller than the regular room we’d had at another hotel in Dubrovnik. 2. Old, outdated rooms. Our suite had filthy carpeting, a wobbly couch with stains all over it. 3. Everything seems to cut corners. They leave only 2 bath towels (tiny and so thin that they barely dry a person after a bath or shower) and 2 hand towels. This is not expected for a luxury hotel. Also, they don’t leave you with extra anything (toilet paper, tissues) in the room. So you’d better hope you don’t run out. 4. Service - they just don’t seem happy to work here and it shows. Many of the people (breakfast buffet) are efficient but not customer-friendly. 5. Bedding is hard and not enough pillows or blankets. 6. Cleanliness - there was a dirty band-aid on our floor when we checked in. Gross. 7. Sporadic wifi. 8. Crowded pool - can’t even get in/our of a lounge chair from the side - must climb in from the foot because they are all wedged together. We’d go back to Hvar, but NOT this hotel.

On arrival iwe were overwhelmed by the size of the hotel and found it difficult to find the room. However we soon got used to it . The pool was wonderful with plenty of sunbeds. It was in easy reach of the town . Perfect location. The breakfast was amazing. Everything possible was there.

We were given two HORRIBLE rooms. Four minute walk to our room. The smell in the room was so horrible and even our view was side of the hotel. Hotel agreed about how bad our room was and discounted our rate to make up for it. The hotel itself is a 15-20 Minute walk from center of town. Nice walk. But beware of the distance. Pool was nice. Breakfast was okay. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

There was an attendant from the hotel at the port who transported our luggage for us and gave us directions to the hotel. Our luggage was stored and we were able to use the pool and amenities upon arrival despite arriving before check in and our room not being available at that moment. It is a beautiful property!

Perfect location. Water in front of the hotel 👌
Excellent location for 1st timers to Hvar. Pool was very crowded with children & teens. Went to Hvar Beach Club. Not part of the hotel, but just in front. $$$$ but .... treat yourself. Junior Suite. We were on level 3. Reception Level. Roomy but not worth the extra $$$. Nearly $1,000 AUD pn, with breakfast and dinner. Pretty sea view though. 😍

We are a couple in our late 50’s. I was a little concerned that there would be loud young people and loud music by the pool but it was not like that. There were young people but it wasn’t rowdy. We absolutely loved the amenities. The staff were great too. We would come back here again.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. It felt a little bit like a cruise ship as it is rather large and sprawling. pool area was very nice and it was always easy to get chairs. The breakfast was delicious. It was a lovely stroll into town. The property felt very safe. It was filled with families and it’s a good place for children.
