This is in an area with a lot of family-friendly hotels catering partly for Futuroscope. Special features of the Alteora are an amusement arcade and a small swimming pool. It also has air-conditioning in the rooms, and a restaurant on site (limited opening) which some others do not.
We only stayed from two nights on this trip, in an upgraded room with a bath. The room was okay, but a little small. The beds were good. Unfortunately the bath didn't drain properly and in spite of reporting it shortly after we arrived it was never fixed. The air conditioning was also not-quite-right - it wouldn't turn off and was quite noisy - the controller seemed to be coming off the wall.
There's a crazy golf course, although it's not the best. Some of the holes need a bit of maintenance and levelling. But it's something to do for half an hour.
The bistro isn't good for vegetarians, although you'll find a good breakfast - including soya milk. The breakfast was also very high on sugar content for non-French tastes, but this normal for the region. It's not an international hotel, but English and Spanish are spoken everywhere if your French isn't so good.
It was a pleasant stay, typical of hotels in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
