If you want to experience an old world saloon type hotel with the odd mod con (tv, shower and comfi bed) this is for you. A bit rough around the edges eg cracks in old sink. If you're rather picky you might not be happy. Overall adequate and we parked right outside door.
Stayed for two nights.Reported blocked washing basin on arrival and again the next day. This was never rectified and was most annoying. Room was clean on arrival but on return late the next day it appeared the room had not been serviced. Beds were pulled straight but otherwise everything as it had been left. Used towels on the floor,no coffee or soap or shampoo refills. Peanuts which had been dropped on the floor still lying there and in spite of repeatedly reporting blocked basin it never was rectified. Continental breakfast is advertised and this is available from 07.30 until 09.00 exactly at which point everything is cleared away finished or not. Swimming pool a big asset in Summer and water sparkling clean.

Tried to check in to the wrong hotel, one almost next door has the same look, but got squared away and were delighted with what we found. This hotel has been around for years and years, but has been renovated while maintaining the look and feel of the early 2oth century. It even has a ghost!
This was an excellent stay with a very friendly and helpful staff! The town itself is also quite cute. Great place to stay if you're looking for affordable accommodation near Yosemite (about an hour's drive to the park's heart).
