"We loved the Gold Deluxe room option that allowed us to access the lounge. The breakfast was amazing, with so many delicious options. The appetizers served in the evening were not your typical hotel snacks. The food was similar quality to what you would find on a cruise. The staff went over and above to meet our needs and assist us. We were very pleased with our decision to stay at the Empress Hotel!"

"The hotel is an older hotel kept in good shape. The hotel is getting a new roof and fixing the outer walls. Was warned it would be noisy but I found it quiet during the night. I was out all day so didn't notice any noise. Room was clean and quiet. I faced the harbor so had a nice view. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay very much."

"Wonderful hotel & staff (Tina, Nikita, Jeffrey (Front desk), Brent (at the athletic club) and others were all very welcoming and helpful. Room was very clean & comfy. Has a small fridge (Microwave was $10 for the Entire stay and worth it). Harbour was right across the street (beautiful views!), plus walking distance to shops, restaurants, Thrifty Foods Store, Bus stop...very convenient! We would stay here again and also recommend it to family & friends. "

"Perfect location for a getaway in Victoria. Right next door to the museum, across the street from Beacon Hill Park, and a block away from parliament. 10 minute stroll down to the seawall and then up to the wonderful shops. Loved that it had a full kitchen, too! Will definitely stay here again!"
