Very nice hotel, excellent location.

Posted 19-Aug-2017
Pros: Beautiful grounds, nice interior, warm atmosphere, spacious room.
Location: Very good location, close to harbor, tourist attractions, local sites.
Pleasant visit, good weather, hotel was walking distance to harbor, Parliament Building, and many visitor attractions. Was able to see much of the area, James Bay, Butchart Gardens, Butterfly Gardens, Victoria and Sydney with short drive by car.

Walk to everything in Victoria!

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Pros: Loved the location, cleanliness, and large roomy suite.
Cons: Update the decor.
Location: Lots of excellent restaurants, pubs, shopping, parks, site seeing, whale watching tours, within walking distance,
We loved the Royal Scot Hotel, for its cleanliness and fantastic location. You don't need a car to explore downtown Victoria from this hotel. The Inner harbour, shopping, Beacon Hill Park, Parliament buildings, Fishermans Wharf, fantastic restaurants and pubs are all within easy walking distance. Our suite was extremely roomy, loved the separate bedroom, and convenience of having a little kitchen. Top marks for cleanliness as well. Even those you are in the midst of all the action, the hotel is tucked away and is very safe and quiet. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, which was very good, reasonably priced, with very friendly service from our waitress. We would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel in good location.

Nice hotel situated in a good location. Staff excellent especially when helping me resolve a problem with a tour company. Would recommend this hotel especially as we had a separate bedroom as well as a kitchen.

Close to the harbor, restaurants and shopping

Posted 07-Aug-2017
The inner harbor was just one block away. Plenty of shopping, restaurants and bars. Really enjoyed the Craigdarroch Castle. We walked and it was quite uphill but beautiful. The Fishermans Wharf was also a treat

Record heat hit Victoria... and we had 2 fans

Posted 05-Aug-2017
Well run, close to harbour, but no air conditioning and record-breaking heat made the evening difficult.

Great hotel - close to legislature, ferries, dwntn

Posted 02-Aug-2017
Pros: Location, location, location - reasonably priced, the suites are a good size, balconies excellent. Great facilities and staff.
Cons: Kitchen clean up after use. Dishes left unwashed/tidied up.
Location: Close to sea, but not the noise of the crowd; easy walk to patios overlooking water and near all of the places to visit; within 15 minute walk.
Great facilities, ideal location, quiet, quaint, hear the horses and carriages during the day and evening. Food, patio, swimming pool and hot tub, games room, pool table...ideal for kids and adults. Close to water, but not the noise of the crowd; easy walk to patios overlooking water and near all of the places to visit; 15 minute walk to everything great about Victoria. You have to try: Aura (Laurel Point); Spinnaker's Pub; Olo Restaurant (China Town); Agrius and Patisserie. Short walk to museum, Fairmont Empress (Tea).

Close to Victoria Clipper on quiet street

Posted 31-Jul-2017
Pros: It's very comfortable and convenient, close to downtown, but away from the bustle.
Location: Water ferries, water tours, tours around Victoria, public transit, Legislature building, the Empress, Miniature World, food, and shopping.
I stayed overnight on a weekend trip from Seattle. The hotel is very close to the Clipper terminal and is 5-minute walk to the Legislature building and the water. The hotel is well-maintained, the staff professional, the room was immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. I wish I had noticed the robes in the closet!

Wonderful Hotel Right Downtown Victoria

Posted 31-Jul-2017
Pros: Comfort, location and cleanliness.
Cons: Restaurant closes down too early for late evening nibbling but the gift store is stocked with breakfast stuff and snacks.
Location: Everything in downtown Victoria! My favorite stops are Munro's Bookstore, Murchies Tea Shopped the Marina and waterfront walkways.
The Royal Scot was recommended to us by family living locally, and it exceeded our expectations on every front. It is very comfortable and they upgraded us to a suite. We loved being 5 minutes from the bustle of downtown and then enjoying the quiet charm of the hotel and amenities. Nice tea room close by for breakfast or high tea if you've brought your gloves!
