A friendly home while away from home

Posted 14-Aug-2017
We had a delightful time, thanks to the friendly staff. The 1911 inn was charming. The restaurant was excellent: good food at a good price. The location can't be beat: an easy walk into town. We'll be back the next time we are in Victoria!

Good location, quiet with easy walk to Victoria Harbor and Beacon Park. Excellent staff and dining experience in the restaurant at street level was very good.

Overpriced Dump

This 'hotel' is old with very basic facilities. Old furniture and carpets that smell.

Pros: Loved sitting out on the balcony for our morning coffee.
Cons: Coffee/tea facilities available in evenings would have been appreciated.
Hotel situated in a lovely area and within easy walking distance to harbour. Friendly, obliging staff.

Nice hotel close to inner harbor

Posted 23-Jul-2017
James bay Inn is a nice hotel close to inner harbor, the hotel stuff is friendly and helpful. Even though there is no elevator, but the whole hotel is clean and comfortable, feels like living in a victoria-style house. The breakfast brunch has many choices and delicious.

Location: Quiet but close to downtown Victoria. Walking distance to historical sites, harbour front, shopping and museum.
