"We could not have asked for a better place to stay! Larger and cheaper than staying at a hotel, HOTR provided the solitude and tranquility we were looking for. Close enough to downtown Wimberley to get breakfast, lunch and dinner within 3 - 5 minutes yet far enough out to feel secluded. Check-in was super easy!Coffee was available with creamer and sugar. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms were amazing. Great water pressure and lots of room. The dining area had a window seat that allowed me to get some work done on my computer while enjoying the greenery. WiFi was amazing! The TV was huge and we had many options as far as what to watch. The huge deck and surrounding trees allowed for a cool breeze. Sitting outside in August was nice as I sipped my coffee and watched the deer roam. We didn’t utilize the hot tub, but that was because we ran out of time. I plan to get in the next time we book here! I may even try the pool that was only a few yards away as well. Yes, we will be back!"
"First off it was a lil hard to find, I used Google maps and it had me trying to turn a block or so further. My other family didn't have problems as they used their iPhones directions. The house is down a very rocky dirt road and the actual address sign is easy to miss. Once entering we had a few hiccups. The wifi wasn't working and we had issues with the water not working. I couldn't get a hold of the host from the website, so I had to call VRBO then the host contacted me directly and had the water issue resolved in a timely manner and so was the wifi. We also had ants in the downstairs bathroom. Also, it would have been helpful to know the house only had one shower in one bathroom and only a tub in the other bathroom.Other than that our stay was good for our family getaway. The house had enough space for our family and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location."

"This was a lovely, sweet home, perfect for us and extended family. It was well-stocked, clean and updated, but still felt very cozy and comfortable. Everyone loved the king sized beds in every room! The screened-in porch was a favorite spot for many in the house. Our hosts were very helpful and accommodating when we needed an additional night. They gave us a discount and even some extra time before checking out which is always needed with multiple families. Thank you Eric and Erika. You were amazing hosts! We would highly recommend this house and are looking forward to staying here again. It was a quick drive to a bustling Wimberley downtown, but the house location was quiet and serene. Definitely a hidden gem within all the Wimberley listings!"
