It was a nice hotel, I got a suite with a bedroom and it was like a mini hotel room. Plus it wasn't super expensive for the quality and I enjoyed my stay. Definitely plan on returning to this hotel, or another hotel by the same company if I go to another location.

The staff here were some of the best I’ve ever come across in my years of travel. The hotel was immaculate and anytime there was a chance the property manager and other employees were kind and courteous. I now have a new go to hotel for the Jacksonville area because of them!

The room was good and had essential amenities for long term stay. Bed was comfortable. The hotel is older and in need of renovation. It was fine for me, but I wouldn’t bring my spouse or children here. I would look for a newer hotel. Also, this hotel has no USB ports in the room and other current electronic capabilities that most hotels offer now.

Location was good, however overall inside decor was dated (1960's), furniture old and dingy, musty odor throughout entire building and rooms. Online pictures of hotel onside and out are very deceiving. Upon check-in, room cable did not work, reported it as we left for dinner, was told it would be taken care of. Upon return, cable still did not work. Again reported it, we were moved to another room. One male staff member working dressed in tank top, overall staff dress code, left a lot to be desired. Overall, will not return to this particular location. Price paid was NOT worth service provided.

I chose Candlewood because of the price compared to neighboring hotels and inns. This would be great for a personal trip. I did not need to use most of suite amenities since it was a quick weekend business trip

We needed unexpected lodging late one night and chose this property because of its distance to base and the fact it allowed pets (traveling with 2 small pugs). The counter staff was pleasant upon checkin. We did not refresh our room during our stay, so I have no comment on housekeeping. Our room did have an odor to it, but it is an older hotel so maybe that is why. The area proved to be a little sketchy. It essentially is in the same parking area as the Jacksonville Walmart, at night it seemed like you might not want to be out walking alone. We ended up staying for several nights and one night we put a small bag of trash at our door, we travel a lot and this has never been a problem at any property we have ever stayed at. However, that night a little after midnight, while we were sleeping the room phone began ringing. After being jarred awake and answering it was the front desk telling us not to leave anything outside our door. We had a 11 hour drive the next day so that was a little annoying. Overall, this place worked in a pinch and we would probably stay again because it was cheap and it was a business trip not a vacation.

There was a clump of hair the size of a gerbil in the roll in bathroom drain. It took over 20 minutes to check in and out of a prepaid hotel room. The room smelled awful flowery. The bed was like sleeping on springs. Never again would I go to a Candlewood sweets

The person at the front desk was super nice, informative and genuinely seemed to enjoy being in customer service. We did leave shortly after we arrived because there were 6 roaches we found so there was no way I would be able to turn out the lights let alone sleep. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
