"It is a great budget option. I'm glad that places like this still exist as it is ridiculous what hotel prices have charged using the excuse of the economy without trying even to offer anything else in exchange. This motel is well located at the entrance of Valemount. The staff is friendly. If what you are looking is something for resting and convinient location, this is a good option."

"The Gatehouse cottage is lovely, particularly the living room, which is spacious, light-filled and nicely furnished. The upstairs is small and a bit quirky....the two bedrooms have no privacy doors and the bath is accessible to both rooms. So perhaps not for everyone (there's also a downstairs bathroom with a good shower). The woodland setting, lawn and plantings are attractive, although there's some road noise. The host and her husband were very helpful. Overall, what you're getting is a nice place close to the Mt. Robson park headquarters. That's worth a lot, because the mountain is really something to see, even by Alberta/B.C. standards."
