"Room itself was clean, bathroom was adequate but showing its age. Building itself is also an older property in need of upgrades, but for the price, was expected. Breakfast was fantastic, made fresh from the Irish Restaurant. Could order one of 3 options, I had the eggs, bacon, home fries and toast with coffee and my son had the pancakes and bacon, both were excellent!"
"This is the third time we have stayed here. We were in love after our first visit. It’s nice to see Skowhegan have a nice new place to stay. We love that they turned an old mill building into a hotel. The rooms are great, plenty of room for my small family of 3. The rooms are bigger than a standard hotel room. Prices have been great also. My only complaint is the TV’s. 2 out of the 3 stays we’ve had trouble with the tv’s they function fine, but they always freeze, we think it could be the wi-fi connections. TV in the living area worked perfect but tv in the bedroom kept freezing. But definitely not a reason to not return, it’s in a brick building we understand it can’t be perfect. Didn’t check out the bar but they had a live band which is great. Check in and check out was great with no complications. I actually enjoy the contactless check in and check out."
"Loved the industrial design of the hotel, natural ME pine wood. Their website should note entrance is actually on Front Street, not Main. I went around 3 times until I found the entrance(parking across the street.) Copley College involved in the hotel, branch of their museum up the street. I went back to Waterville(childhood vacation), to go the Colby free museum, so great! All in all, Waterville is back and worth a visit. I noted to staff at hotel the bar staff, one young woman, should pay attention to the guests in front of them, not fooling around with a new recipe, ignoring everything else. I worked for The Ritz Carlton Co. over 6 years, it’s important you know who pays your paycheck."
"The property is currently undergoing renovations, and the newly updated rooms are exceptional. They feature attractive laminate flooring, updated bathrooms, new bedding, drapes, and furniture. During our stay, the General Manager mentioned that approximately 19 rooms had already been renovated, with another 19 currently in progress.
The suites are spacious and comfortable. I have stayed here before, but this was my first time in one of the newly renovated rooms, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and attention to detail.
The complimentary breakfast is continental style and includes items such as breakfast bars, donuts, oranges, apples, coffee, and juice. While it is fairly simple, I appreciated that they provide bags so guests can conveniently take items to go.
One added convenience is that Governors Restaurant is connected to the hotel, making it easy to enjoy a full breakfast or meal without leaving the property. It would be a nice touch if the hotel offered guests a discount coupon for the restaurant.
The pool is located outdoors. We did not use it during this visit, and since it was under construction the last time we stayed, I am not sure whether it is currently open and operating.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and were impressed with the renovations. We would definitely return in the future."
"The location was perfect. The bike trail we came to ride was less than ideal but the kayaking was absolutely perfect. The house layout was wonderful for us to all gather. The view of lake from the deck and the seating at the end of the dock provided a great spot for reading and contemplation."

10/10 Excellent
"Cabin was super clean with plenty of space to spread out. It's in a rural area, so very quiet and peaceful. Debbie was friendly and welcoming and provides amazing directions."
