We have stayed at the Super 8 in Ithaca several times over the past 6 years, and have noticed a decline in the cleanliness over the past year or two. It's still clean, but not as stellar as it was. The beds are comfortable, and the price is right

Always have had a positive experience. I have been staying here for years. Easy to get to Ithaca Commons and any of of the downtown shopping. Wegman's, a huge food facility, is adjacent to the motel. I will be returning to Super 8 in the future.

This hotel provided a place to stay while moving our daughter into College. It exceeded my expectations.

Staff was very accommodating!

Posted 17-Aug-2016
Pros: It was clean and comfortable!
Cons: The Continental Breakfast was limited....it did not offer too many options!
Arrived for a short weekend stay and found the staff to be very helpful! Both the hotel and rooms were clean and the bathrooms were a nice size.

Pros: Will never use Super 8 Hotel ever again
Cons: To invest in a cleaning company
Location: The finger lakes area was beautiful and it was worth visiting. Next time I will use a cleaner hotel.
Had to wear shoes in the room, soles of the feet would get dirty from the bathroom to the beds. The carpet was thread-bare in several places in the hallway. The first morning, there were no spoons for breakfast. The garbage container out side, next to the parking lot was over flowing for 2 days.

Not one of the better Super8

Posted 12-Aug-2016
When I came to check in, many areas of the main floor had water leaking due to plumbing issue ( which I found out happens quite often). Worse, I saw the hotel towels all over the floor to contain the water flowing. Although we had a handicap person, we were forced to take an upstairs room since the main floor plumbing was backed up. And there is no elevator in the hotel. After check in, went out and bought some towels. Did not want to use the hotel towels. The double beds are small for two people. Breakfast was simple but okay. Hotel staff in groups standing just in front of the hotel entrance and smoking was another thing I disliked.

One Night Stay

Posted 11-Aug-2016
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean.
Cons: The hotel needs a remodeling. The corridors are worn, there are stains on the chairs in the room.
Location: This hotel is located across from key shopping malls in Ithaca and a few minutes drive from Cornell. It is a good location, just not appealing.
We thought we would give this hotel a try due to its reasonable price and central location in Ithaca. We found it was very worn in the corridors and overdue for an overhaul. The lobby had a damp, musty smell upon entry. We did get a good night's sleep as the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean, but the overall atmosphere of being worn out and well used made the stay disappointing. We were glad we only booked for one night.

This place seems to be worn out and in need of an overhaul. Staff was hit or miss with daily room cleaning, ie- one day they would forget to replace towels, next day they would forget to make bed.
