The hotel is clean and modern. The staff is kind and professional but I could not give it 5 stars. It is a bit generic. The location is remote so it would be nice if there was more to experience on property. But it is on the sea and maybe that's enough for a lot of people. We have been to the Kempinski in High Tatras many times and in comparison this one is in a lower league. You are not made to feel special but as a patron. The food was good but not great. The room clean but small. It's very nice but lacks individual character.

My wife and I have stayed at four different Kempinski Hotels and have always been impressed. The staff is courteous, attentive, and friendly without being imposing. They are readily available but are not "in your face" helpful. The breakfast buffet is terrific and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. The room was very comfortable. We wished for a longer stay, truly. I'm glad we went in the off season, however, (late October) since the surrounding area and narrow roads I imagine would become overwhelmed and choked with traffic in the high season. Five stars!

Amazing hotel with holf course
Great Hotel with heated pool, amazing view of Piran and Portoroz. The beach is 200 m away but it is worh walking. There is a lift so you do need to climb up or down.

This hotel is magical. SO beautiful. The rooms are amazing, the staff are friendly, breakfast is awesome.... I can’t say enough good things about this place. The hotel pools were great, and the ocean right outside the hotel was so pretty and perfect; we bounced between both all day long. We will stay here again for sure.

Premium service in excellent resort
Wonderfull and very luxury resort with extremely friendly and kind stuff. We very appreciate that hotel is very pet friendly. The golf course is very near and in excellent condition. Our room were very spacious and elegantly furnished with balcony with view of the sea. Mini bar was full of everything and room service was great. Breakfast ? Excellent !!! We will come again for sure.

The property is an American style luxury property in the middle of Istria - big rooms, fluffy bathrobes, nice linens but most importantly - great water pressure and air conditioning.

Nice resort, but better options nearby
Spent a nice weekend at this hotel. The restaurant is a bit expensive (fine, it's a hotel), but there's really not much nearby either (minimum 20 minute drive to civilization), which makes it a bit of a problem. It is also not "on the beach" - it is a good 10 minute walk from the beach. That makes the "sea-view" more of a "different houses on the other side of the hotel" view. That said, the staff were friendly and helpful (caught some rather expensive charges on our bill that should not have been there and they fixed it -- but glad I looked carefully), the pool areas were comfortable, the room was nice (wifi has great coverage but not great speed). A relaxing get-away weekend, but it certainly could be better.

Very good high standard hotel. Excellent food and great, child-friendly service. Staff went out of their way to make sure out stay with a toddler was peaceful. Good pools and spa area, very relaxing massage treatment. The rooms are very comfortable and of a standard you'd expect from a 5* hotel. Slightly off the beaten track location but easily reachable with a car and convenient for trips around Istria and Slovenia.

A great place to stay
Me and my wife spent the night at the Kempinski hotel and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was great and very helpful and made our stay very comfortable. Our room was great and very clean and had a fantastic view of the Adriatic.

The Adriatic Kempinski never fails to provide the ultimate in excellence from the moment you walk through the door. Reception Staff are welcoming and cannot be more helpful and this is attitude is carried through every Hotel department - Pool Bar, Catering service to Accommodation, Spa and Front desk. Senior Staff are discrete yet are on hand to ensure your happy with your stay and quietly look to gain an insight into making your Holiday even better. The Pools, Spa and Fitness facilities & Equipment are excellent and its only a short walk to the Private beach with an abundance of Sun Shades and Loungers. The Beach Bar staff provide both food and drink promptly and with a smile. If you like water sports facilities are available, or enjoy a round of Golf on the Hotels 18 hole course and a meal or drink in the equally well appointed Club House. The Accommodation is just absolutely 5 star and I would recommend a room have a sea view which is spectacular across the Adriatic across to Slovenia's delightful fishing town of Piran and on a clear day the Italian coast beyond.

Recently spent 2 nights at the Kempinski Adriatic on northern coast of Croatia as part of a trip through Slovenia. Had stayed in a Kempinski hotel before so was expecting something special. The hotel lived up to that with its first class service and friendly staff. The breakfast in particular was 'to die for'! This Kempinski however does have a few down sides, such as location on a fairly remote underdeveloped stretch of Croatian coast. There is little to do or see so hotel has a captured audience. This is reflected in the very expensive dinner prices in both hotel restaurants.

Faulous hotel, so sad to be home!
We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Kempinski in Croatia. It was truly 5 star luxury.Every member of staff we came into contact with could not do enough for us and really made us feel special. Everyone from the reception staff, to the concierge, to the staff at breakfast and room service, went over and above anything we requested. I do believe Kempinski hotels are beyond compare. It's not that easy to get to from Pula airport - unless you have a car, but once you get there you won't want to leave! The beach is a small pebble beach but with immaculate shower/toilet facilities and a small bar and snack area as well as water sports. An outstanding holiday location, beautiful surroundings and the hotel itself is only about 4 years' old.

Overall great experience. Nice location, clear waters. Good service at all the restaurants, beach bar and pool bar. Outdoor movie for kids on some days of the week, live entertainment on others. We wish the food for dinner was better - some dishes were good, others less so. The fine dining restaurant was a huge let down. The worst food of the entire stay. Only other issue was on checkout - several billing problems. And it was clear we were not the only ones facing this issue. People before us and besides us had the same problem. You could easily end up paying 500$ more if you don't check your bill carefully.

Hotel is a bit tricky to find, but if you study the map before hand it should not be a problem. The hotel restaurant is very good but pricey. The local bar, as well as the restaurant down the street are both very good and have excellent friendly staff that speak English/German.
