It is a medieval building - how fantastic is that! Being so old, there are a one or two things which are not quite up to modern standards but apart from the weirdness of having a free-standing bath in the bedroom, the room was cool, clean, comfortable and very large. The best asset of this hotel is Stefano, the manager. He is possibly the most helpful, welcoming host of any hotel I’ve stayed in. He really made us feel at home. Fantastic central yet quiet location, decent breakfast, good air-con, big clean room and a nice guy in charge - what more could you want.....o.k, a shower in the actual bathroom but that’s not so important compared with Benin the medieval centre of Rovinj.

Summer beach getaway
Stefano the manager is the best. He will organize everything for you and is always at hand. Breakfast is good, European style. The place is in the heart of the old town which is so convenient. The hotel isn’t a 4 star in theUS sense at all, but has Charme. The only drawback k is that the parking spot is in an abandoned shop lot and there is nothing around, so you have to wait for the car service the hotel provides for a fee. Overall I would stay again.

Definitely recommend a stay here. The hotel is lovely, the staff is terrific, and our room was beautiful. The town just exudes so much charm. We loved it and would go back.

Historic boutique hotel
Amazing boutique hotel. Excellent location. Historic hotel with beautiful features. Stefano, the manager, gave us service and attention far above normal. Wish we could have stay3d longer.

Hotel Manager Stefano was so welcoming & helpful! He has small golf cart which helped with luggage on the stone streets. The hotel was charming, quiet at night and the room was spacious. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices and even a chef available to make eggs to each person's preference. We would recommend this location for staying in dowtown Rovinj.

Pleasant, charming hotel in the center of town
The hotel is in an ancient building meandering over several floors, charming large rooms, very comfortable and quiet. Nice bathroom. Our room faced the street so it had more light than some of the others, but it was quiet. Comfortable bed.

Affordable luxury in Rovinj
Superb Hotel in a great location in Rovinj Old Town just minutes walk from the waterfront. The property has been lovingly restored and full of character. Friendly staff and a tasty breakfast spread helped to make my stay in Rovinj a memorable one.

Great location, decent hotel
Location is fabulous and hotel is nice. Staff mostly helpful. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We, and other guests, had things go missing from our room. Fortunately we got ours back, but the excuse we got was not credible. Leaving aside the bed and the missing items, it was a great place. We did enjoy our stay in Rovinj, and here.

Great Location, but Requires Some Effort
A nice hotel, very centrally located - although a bit hard to find. Parking is not nearby, and luggage will need to be carried over some winding cobblestone streets. Inside is nice, clean, big. And services is polite and informative.

My favorite memory of all of Croatia
We loved this hotel! If you contact them when you arrive (if by car) they will pick you up so you don't have to walk to the hotel (since cars are not allowed in the old town). They will also drop you back off at the car when you need. Matt gave us rides and he was just a great guy to talk to and get info from. Everyone in the front was really nice. The room and bathroom (and shower) were huge, I don't know if all rooms are like that, but it was such a pleasant surprise. There is also a GREAT view of the city from the room, I recommend you check it out. We met the owner, Zvonko, and he was awesome! He helped us get a dinner reservation at a great restaurant on the rocks of the waterside, and at the end of the night, he hosted a Hungarian Johnny Cash cover band on the streets next to his building, where it was a lot of fun to hang out! He was great, the ambiance there was great, the room was great, I highly recommend!

A completely lovely experience! The hotel is located in a very interesting, beautiful building (seems like 2 or 3 buildings together), freshly renovated. The room I has was lovely, and the bed so very comfy - great pillows! There is an excellent little wine bar next door - perfect for a lovely, sophisticated sip of prosecco after a day in the town! I plan to return again!

Beautiful and comfortable rooms
This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in Croatia but a small amount, but it was our favorite by a long shot. Beautiful room with sitting area and kitchen (including a two-burner stove) and warm and friendly service. The breakfast was basic (I think the only cooked items were hard boiled eggs) but good and the restaurant area was very pleasant.

Perfect choice!
I absolutely loved this hotel. It is really lovely -- even prettier and more charming than the photographs. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff couldn't be more helpful. And, the hotel is in a perfect location, situated partway up a windy Rovinj road. This was my favorite hotel from our entire two weeks in Croatia.

Das Hotel Villa Valdibora zu finden war nicht ganz einfach in den tollen und schmalen Gassen von Rovinj. Nach meiner Ankunft wurde ich von Stefano empfangen, der mir ein paar Tipps zur Stadt gab. Auf dem Zimmer wurde ich dann von der sehr guten Ausstattung überrascht. Vom Boxspringbett bis zur Regenwald-Dusche! war alles vorhanden. Das Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet, neu renoviert und recht geräumig. In der ersten Nacht ist dann der Fahrstuhl ausgefallen und hat quietschende Geräusche von sich gegeben. Stefano war sofort zur Stelle (0:30 Uhr) und hat sich um das Problem gekümmert. Danke nochmal für den tollen Aufenthalt und sehr guten Service Stefano.

Familjevistelse med vuxna barn.
Som en dröm gick i uppfyllelse. Så romantiskt och underbart mitt i den gamla stadsdelen med alla smala gränder nästan på toppen av Rovinj. En otroligt trevlig manager som ordnade allt för oss. Kommer absolut boka detta boende igen.

Utmärkt läge mitt i gamla stan, lite svårt att hitta i alla gränder. Ligger i ett gammalt hus som gör att det kan vara ganska ljudligt, man hör folk som går i trappen och ibland pratar i sitt rum. Daglig städning vilket upplevdes bra men hittade gamla hårstrån i duschen/vid sängen som ej tillhörde oss. Över lag helt okej, men inte fantastiskt.

Céntrico y gran servicio
El hotel esta perfextamente ubicado en el Centro de Rovinj. Stefano quien es el gerente es muy amable y atento, nos recomendó restaurantes que fueron my buenos y nos ayudò llevándonos a la terminal. El desayuno fue muy bueno, la chef que es muy amable, nos preparó un excelente desayuno.

Jättefint hotell men något bristande service
Jättefint och fräscht hotell med väldigt bra läge i gamla stan. Dock var servicen inte den bästa då vår transfer glömdes bort flera gånger och vårt rum inte blev städat en dag. Frukosten var bra och damen som jobbade där var väldigt trevlig och serviceinriktad men resten av personalen kändes son sagt lite loj.

Viel Charme und extrem zentral gelegen
Wir heben eines der Appartements mit Küche gewohnt und daher kein Frühstück gebucht, sondern selbst Frühstück zubereitet. Das Appartement bestand aus einem Schlazimmer in den Innenhof und einem Wohn- und Esszimmer mit Küchenzeile sowie dem modernen Bad. Die Möbel sind individuell ausgesucht, das Bett ok. Wir haben uns extrem wohl gefühlt und würden wiederkommen, wenn wir wieder nach Rovinj fahren. Die Klippen zum Baden am Meer waren 5 Minuten entfernt. Was man wissen muss: das Haus ist alt, daher hört man Schritte auf der Treppe und Wasserleitungen oft recht laut. Stimmen eigentlich weniger (oder waren unsere Nachbarn so leise?).

Hotellet ligger perfekt i en charmerende, snæver gade i Rovinj. Hotellet er gammelt, hvilket giver det sjæl og har samtidig topmoderne badeværelse og smuk og funktionel køkken. En god balance mellem komfort og charme. Bestemt et besøg værd. Det er ikke muligt at køre bil til hotellet, det er heller ikke nemt at rulle kuffert til hotellet. Men man kan få en lille "golfvogn" til at hente en på havnen, når man ankommer. Har du bil, er den nærmeste parkeringsplads nede ved havnen.
