Great location/price option
Great option for the price and location. Room was big compared to those of other 3-star hotels and it was clean. Host was very attentive. It was a little noisy.

Nice hotel in a good location, reasonable price
We, an "old couple" stayed here for several days for a combined sightseeing/family reunification, so our primary goals were relatively close vicinity to the main attractions like Haja Sofia, easy access to the public transport and a reasonable price. Upon check-in, initially booked "economy room" was generously upgraded to the "superior" one. Same was offered to our son who booked separately. At all times of stay the hotel personnel continuously demonstrated hospitality and proficiency. This is especially true about both receptionist named Irfan and Jusuf and also a lady who served breakfast. Room kept neat and towels were changed daily. So our best expectations came true: we had really good time in Istanbul!

great stay in Tophane
Everything about the hotel was excellent. From the size and quality of the room, the quality of breakfast, speed of wifi, the courteous and friendly service, I simply could not find anything that was lacking. I recommend the hotel without any hesitation, and would stay here again on returning to Istanbul.

Brilliant hotel in a great location
We went to Istanbul for five days and stayed at the WAW Hotel. Upon check in our room was upgraded which was massively appreciated. The room was exceptionally spacious with a little kitchen sink, kettle, fridge and microwave. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower and the water pressure, which I find when holidaying can be poor, was very good. The hotel manager was super helpful as were all the staff. Breakfast was included in our stay which included hot foods as well as pastries and cereals. The location of the hotel was brilliant. 2 minute walk to the tram which takes you in to Sultanahmet for all the sights and grand bazaar only taking 10 minutes on the tram. From the hotel you can walk up to Takism Square and visit the shopping high street. The hotel was surrounded by restaurants serving amazing food and very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.

Totally worth the money,had pleasant stay
First we booked the hotel for 4 days only as we were not sure but we fount us more than expectations, true value for money, well connected, 2 minutes walking distance from Tramway, 15 min walking distance from ferry terminal - Kabatas. My wife and I enjoyed our stay, staffs were very must helpful and honest.

Check in war schon ein Problem, wir müssten ne Stunde warten bis sich jemand für uns gekümmert hat. Die Bilder im Internet haben nichts mit der Realität zutun. Null hygienisch alles in der Dusche verschimmelt. Einzig positive Standort vom Hotel. Sehr nah an Galataport.

Quarto extremamente limpo e organizado. Banheiro amplo, limpo e moderno. Disponibilizam toalhas, loção de banho e shampoo. Além disso, disponibilizam chaleira elétrica, café e chá solúveis de graça. Não possui café da manhã (restaurante fechado desde a pandemia), mas conta com excelentes opções nas proximidades. Só a TV que não estava sintonizando os canais, mas não era um problema, já que não entendo nada em tuco (risos). O atendimento certamente foi um diferencial! Os recepcionistas são extremamente atenciosos e cuidadosos com cada detalhe da sua experiência, sempre com dicas precisas, para que a viajem seja satisfatória. A localização é estratégica e próximo de tudo! Recomendo fortemente para quem deseja ficar próximo às atrações turísticas, como a Torre Galata, o Galataport e as mesquitas. Fica próximo também da Praça Taksim e suas ruas bem movimentadas.

Trivago üzerinden Yapmış olduğumuz ve ödemesini yaptığımız otele gitigimizde hotels com la anlaşmalarının olmadığını ve kabul etmeyeceklerini söyleyip bizi otele kabul etmediler ve dolandirildigimizi söylediler otelde bulunan resepsiyon a bakan arkadaşın otel müdürü dediği ve bizi telefonda görüştüğü kişi nişanlımla beraber buyuk bir hayal kırıklığına girdik gece saat 01:00 civarları trivago gibi kurumsal bir firmanın nasil boyle bir hata yapacağına anlam veremedik gece boyunca Türkçe yardım alamadık ve yakında bir otele gittik ordada malesef yer bulamadık ve resepsiyondaki arkadas bize yardımcı oldu ve gece boyunca yaklaşık 1-2 saat hotels yurt dişi cagri merkeziyle görüştük ve malesef yer olmadığını bölgedeki otellerin tamamen dolu olduğunu söylediler ve bölgeye cok uzak Ümraniye'den yer verebileceklerini söylediler oysaki bölgedeki bir cok otelde yer görünüyordu sonra 500 tl ye kadar bir otelde kalabileceğimizi ve ödemenin karşılanacağını söylediler gece saat 03:00 olmustu ve disarda kalmıştık ve kac gündür görüşmemize rağmen bir sonuca ulaşılmadı henuz net bir sonuç donus yapılmadı telafi edilmedi sorunumuz sadece para iademiz yapıldı anlam veremiyorum uluslar arası boyle bir şirketin ilgisizliğine boyle bir olay yurt dışında olsaydi acaba ne olurdu herhalde yoneticiler bununla ilgili ciddiyetin farkındadırlar ..,,

Das Zimmer hat nur ein Fenster zum Lichtschacht, so dass man nicht lüften kann bzw. nur abgestandene Luft aus dem Schacht in das Zimmer bekommt. Wegen der Raucher unten im Foyer hat man dann Zigarettenqualm im (Nichtraucher-)Zimmer.

Praktisches Hotel in zentraler Lage
Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral aber nicht im Trubel des Zentrums. Sehr sauber und freundliche, hilfsbereite Angestellte. 150m zur Trambahn mit der man in 10 Minuten am Bazar oder an einer Schiffsanlegestelle ist. Wir waren 2 Wochen dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Für uns, wo wir die meiste Zeit auf Entdeckungstour sind, war es ideal. Die Trambahn vor der Haustür brachte uns innerhalb kürzester Zeit überall hin. Das Haus selbst liegt etwas versteckt, wir haben bei der Anreise zweimal gefragt und es dann gefunden. Trambahn T1, Station "Tophane" aussteigen, dann durch den kleinen Park und schon ist man dort.. Das Frühstück ist nicht spektakulär aber ausreichend. Alles in allem ein gutes Hotel wo auch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis durchaus stimmt und das man weiterempfehlen kann. Nach dem wir öfter in Istanbul sind können wir uns durchaus vorstellen es wieder zu buchen.

Perfect hotel for this price, good location, kind staff and very good breakfast . It is not the nicest neighborhood, but safe and the nearest tram station is about 200 meters from the hotel.

Kleines Hotel in verkehrsgünstiger Lage in Tophane
Netter Empfang vom hervorragend deutsch sprechenden Manager und nettem Team, Leider haben ein Teil der Zimmer keine Fenster nach Draußen, sondern nur einen Lichtschacht, aber Istanbul ist auch keine Stadt wo man lange im Hotel verbleibt.

Bad bad bad
Bad service, small rooms, the staff will not clean your room if you don't pay them 10 dollar every day. The breakfast was poor, it was old food and dry bread The location was bad. The hotell is in back street and it was many coffees for just men. You really won't feel comfortable to go pass them, specially late at night after 10, because you will be followed of one of them. It was my first time and the last in this poor one star hotell

Dear Valeu Anonymous Guest, Thank you for your review but i like to clariry some point about your review here on expedia site. First of all cleaning is till 15:00 oclock (3 pm.) free of charge, after 15:00 oclock its against fee and rate is 10€. Its all ready written at the eleivator. WAW Hotel breakfast is not as you have mentioned here, we have a continantal open hot buffet breakfast with all kind of local delicious food like Menemen, Gozleme, Simit etc. We as Waw hotel are getting as well here on expedia, as well as on tripadvisor and many other websites seeable good pointing about our location. We are very unhappy about your review, because you have left WAW Hotel very happy and didnt told us al these problems when you accomodation with us. As Tophane area is our hotel very good located and very very safe to talk late night, and no body will follow any other people here. In Behalf of WAW HOtel Galataport Team Hotel Manager

Super Hotel und sehr gut gelegen!!
Das Hotel war wirklich Super. Sehr gut gelegen und sehr nette Mitarbeiter haben die 5 Tage wie im Flug vergehen lassen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet. Modern war es auch. Ich habe nichts negatives zu erwähnen. Ich würde es jeden weiter empfehlen.

ホテルは綺麗ですが、人が良くないです。
ホテルが新しいだけあって、ホテル全体もお部屋の中もまあまあ綺麗で快適に過ごせました。 ただお掃除はあまりしっかりされてなく、床にはほこり、髪の毛、ティッシュなど落ちていました。 近くにはトラムの駅があり、何処に行くにも便利な立地です。ホテル自体は問題ないと思いましたが チェックイン時にフロントにいた社長らしき人がとても裏のあるような感じで、初めはニコニコと していましたが、フロントでは飲み物フリーと聞いていたので冷蔵庫のペットボトルも何本か頂いた ところ、突然「1本15TL」という張り紙をされました。またその人にハウスキーピングをお願いして 午後3時ごろ外出し、夜戻った時にハウスキーピングされていなかったので「あなたにお願いしたんですけど」と言ったところ謝る様子もなく、もう一度今からハウスキーピングさせますと言われましたが、「もう部屋でリラックスしたいので結構です、タオルだけ交換してください」と言いました。すると次の日エレベーターの中に「PM2時以降のハウスキーピングは100TL」という張り紙がありました。 直接言わないのに、わざわざ紙を貼ってくる対応に本当に不愉快な気分になりました。その社長みたいな人以外の従業員の方は良い方ですが、その社長が周りの従業員達をあごで使っている感じも見ててとても不愉快でした。もう二度と泊まりたくありません。毎朝の朝食ブッフェもあまり美味しくありませんでした。

Новый отель. Все чисто! Завтрак как и везде в Стамбуле средний, но голодным не останешься. В номере кондиционер, сейф, большой телевизор. Звукоизоляция хромает. Персонал приветливый. Есть лифт. Отличный отель!

Ótimo hotel, bem localizado (perto de uma estação de bonde e de varios restaurantes e lojas), café da manha muito bom e atendimento impecavel! Com certeza recomendo!

Jättebra hotell!
Bodde på hotellet under tre dagar och var jättenöjd med rummet, servicen och läget på hotellet. Kan varmt rekommendera det!

Nous avons passe un bon séjours. Tout ce que je reproche a cet hôtel c est le service de nettoyage de chambre qui n est pas fourni systématiquement. Et le personnel ne maîtrise pas bien la langue pour communiquer avec les touristes, et n arrivent pas a donner des conseils.
