Really dodgy building. Doesn’t feel safe at all. Apartment was not clean and was very very old.

We got to this hotel and paid for a room through Expedia. However at arrival the reception transferred us over to a kitchen/storage area to stay in. He said it will only be for one night. We were understanding and said ok. We ended up staying in there closet//storage/kitchen for 3 night. The owner did not want to give us a room. The worst experience of my life. You pay for a room and end up sleeping in there storage area. Horrible and horrific experience. Not worth a dollar a night in this place.

Good location.
The location was great, but the bed and pillow are not comfortable, the TV was out of order for a whole day of my stay. Housekeeping lady is very nice, the receptionist his friend in the restaurant are polite.

Good, but improvements are needed
The location is really excellent, at walking distance from the main attractions of Old Istanbul and also from tramway and bus stations to go everywhere. Just beside the door there are small restaurants and a minimarket at the corner with high-quality cheese, fruits, bread, eggs, milk, etc.. The fashion shop at the door is nice and the lady is very kind. All the area is plenty of restaurants and shops. The apartment was comfortable and in good conditions. The staff person who welcomed us was extremely kind and available. He booked also a taxi for us, which was perfectly in time and very kind, too. However, the warm welcome cannot compensate the deficiencies. Although the kitchenette is large and has a couple of (never-cleaned) electric plates, the cooking facilities are not really available: apart from few crockery (no soup bowls), kettles and a little saucepan with old crusts inside, there are no pots/pans.The only tools are a cooking knife and a spatula, unuseful without cutting board/pans. Basic tools like a colander or a bottle/can opener are missing. The cutlery consists of two knifes and three coffee spoons. The washing machine works well, the fridge takes a long time to reach an acceptable temperature. A small table with a lamp at the bed head would be greatly appreciated. Towels and sheets were changed once (good), but the general cleanliness should be improved (i.e. the floor). The shower is large and very confortable, even if the door does not close well.

Отдыхали в Sultan Apartments на рождество 2018! Остались самые хорошие воспоминания о Стамбуле, о Sultan Apartments! Район где находятся апартаменты не гламурный вообще! Старинный и колоритный...и мне показался абсолютно безопасным. До моря метров 200 пешком, до Айя Софии 800. Апартаменты простые, но очень чистые, ухоженные. На кухне полный набор посуды, хотя мы им так не воспользовались. В ванной мыло и гели для душа на троих! Убирали каждый день. Ни с водой, ни с интернетом, ни с прочими удобствами проблем не было. Хотя читал что даже в дорогих отелях Стамбула горячая вода по расписанию! Продуктовый магазинчик в этом же доме. Ресторанчик-кафе через дорогу прямо напротив. Вообщем есть все для полноценного проживания! Правда мы приходили домой только спать!)))
