Mixed review on Hotel Ipek Palas, the location is great, alot of shops close by as well as some restaurants, easy access to a tram stop but also you could walk to the big attractions, I'd say the location is perfect. The hotel itself is nice, clean but the breakfast is limited so it was a waste for us as after the first morning we never ate there again. The room was tiny, we only had access to one side of the bed, which was also very small and no room to move, couldn't even open a suitcase in the room had to open it Infront of the door or on the bed but then you had no where to sit. The bathroom in our room also smelt damp but seemed clean. Torn whether I would stop there again

The hotel is located in a good area, with lots of places to eat. Walkable distance to The Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia mosque and Topaki Palace Museum. However, There was a cockroach running around in the breskfast area- wgich we informed insect in the bed then they csme and cleaned the room, toilet seat broken even though we had informed then to fix it they did come and have a look but was still broken. I was shocked that they dont clean and change the bed sheets everyday. When i informed about the room bot being cleaned i got the redponse of we dont clean the room everyday abd you need to put a sign up to say you want your room to be clesned which i was not informed wheb checking in. Cleaness is what lets them down alot.

Liked the area & how easy it is to get to the main attractions.. thr galata bridge & tower haggia Sophia all walkable ..I walked everywhere from my location.. staff really friendly even for my laundry done for a small fee.☺️ rooms are really good aswell.. I knew I just wanted to sheep & shower but they are still really worth checking into..

I have stayed at this hotel before and I cannot believe how it’s gone downhill. The room was not clean, the breakfast was inadequate and overall stay was not good.

Good breakfast but bad maintenance
Good included breakfast. The only issue was the extraction fan of the toilet was not working and I think someone next door was smoking all the time. And the smell was getting in through the non working fan.

The room was very dirty and small , staff was not very nice the breakfast was terrible we more hotel after staying there one night the traffic outside the hotel was so bad day and night , this hotel should be a zero star hotel I will not rate this hotel stay somewhere else please

Didnt like at all. Ac doesn’t work properly. No shampoo and napkins in the bathroom. Front desk doesn’t help that much Very few speak English Rooms are very small

The lobby is beautiful. I got a single economic room. It was tiny. When I got to my room the toilet seat was not clean and the next day my bed was made but the bathroom was not cleaned yet again.

Hotel was good and the staff members very nice and helpful. because of covid the breakfast choices were limited but good. they also organized for us the boat tour, which I recommend to everyone.

Good location, poor room
We stayed here only for one night, but the room was really hot and smelt of cigarette smoke. There was only one plug socket in the room and that was on the wall pushed right against the bed. The room was very small, the photos are very misleading. The location was very convenient and the breakfast was quite nice. The staff were also very accommodating and lovely.

Wonderful location Close to all attractions The hotel is pretty dated and most of the double and twin rooms are box size. Only decent room sizes are rooms 6 and 7 on each floor (family rooms)

I really don't understand the bad critics on the web. I slept like a baby (5th floor). The breakfast was absolutely amazing with a huge selection. Location perfect. Yes rooms not that big but absolutely fine. Yes shower had one open side but did not cause any problem. Yes breakfast was downstairs. No problem. Except if you have problems with stairs. It is below elevator reach. There is a restaurant upstairs only open a few hours late afternoon, with tea and coffee and cakes but I was only there briefly to check it out as there are so many things to do in the area. Very pleased with my stay

Excellent location, room was good coz I booked the bigger room but aircon was not cooling well. we loved the top floor terrace where tea is complmentary with an amazing view of Istanbul.Breakfast was very good seved lower floor but very nice restaurant and food.

The hotel is in perfect location for going sightseeing. It is very clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. My room was on the small side but perfect for me as a single person. Had there been two people then the room would have been on the small side. The breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. The rooms were cleaned every day. I have no complaints at all and would happily rebook on my next visit to Istanbul.
