The hotel was built in 1867, so there are some inconveniences, like short stairways after the lift and narrow hallways. WiFi only available in the lobby. But rooms are fine and renovations are being done. And you couldn’t ask for a better location — right across from ferry pier, bus station and tourist ...

Small hotel with lovely rooms. However the traffic noise kept me awake till about 2am & started again at about 5am, I am sure if it had not been so warm & our windows closed this would not have been an issue. Breakfast was great.

Family found stay enjoyable location was ideal. Staff were helpful Available car park Wifi available with tv Would recommend for all
Booked the fernside for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay - the room was a good size and both well decorated and well maintained The breakfast is excellent and the staff always willing to help I would recommend without hesitation
Lovely hotel, staff always helpful, polite and friendly. Our only complaint if you can call it that was the bar restaurant, we ate in there one evening, food nice but dogs are allowed and unfortunately that evening it had been wet and with seven dogs it was rather smelly it we would stay again.
Holidaymakers of all kinds make tracks for the Isle of Wight each year. Tucked away in the peaceful Solent and just a few miles off the Hampshire coast, the island is an ideal choice for those keen to get away from it all. Of course, none of us like to cut all ties completely when we go on holiday - we're all addicted to our social media and email accounts these days! That's why an increasing number of tourists are going in search of hotels with WiFi when booking their holidays.
For many of us, social media has become an integral part of our relationship with loved ones far and near. The ability to stay in touch no matter where we are allows us to share our experiences with the people we love. This is particularly important on holiday. Booking into a hotel with WiFi means you can keep your friends and family up-to-date with what you're doing while you're away.
Got a once in a lifetime shot of your toddler meeting a llama for the first time at the zoo? Zip it off to grandma back at home in a flash. Or maybe your hotel's serving up some seriously photogenic grub? Upload it to Instagram directly from the hotel restaurant.
It's not only holidaymakers who pass through hotels on the Isle of Wight. Business visitors and professionals often need to make a stop, particularly at hotels with conference facilities. When you're travelling on business, it's always important to stay connected. This allows you to communicate with your office and to access vital information that can allow you to get in a little extra work when you get back to your room at the end of the day. A reliable, high-speed internet connection allows you to do just that.
Fortunately, WiFi is becoming an increasingly common feature of hotels around the world. From intimate bed and breakfasts like The Richmond in Shanklin to larger outfits like Luccombe Manor County House, hotels and guesthouses are now recognising the importance of supplying a good WiFi connection to their guests.
