We arrived very late - our room types were standard double, but we clearly had the ones no one else wanted. I will preface that the location was amazing, the staff great with their communication and the beds comfortable. But it was old, the carpet was dirty and the bathroom was tiny. It was not worth the money for a room of the standard we given. The breakfast was ok, the bacon burned and the coffee machine wasn’t on, I was told they couldn’t flick the switch and turn it on. If it wasn’t over $300 a night - then this would be something to overlook. But at over $300, they need to step it up a little.

I have forwarded on your comments to the relevant departments to action immediately and we do apologise that we do not switch on our coffee machine in the mornings as we have limited staff and have to cater to all our guests in a short space of time during breakfast service. We do however offer excellent, freshly ground cafetiere coffee to our guests. With regards to price points, it is very much down to how/where your booking was made. We hope that we can welcome you back to Hotel Eilean Iarmain in the near future where I am confident we will offer you our usual high standard of service.

Great little place for a short stay. Staff very friendly and amenable. Room clean if a little small, or cosy if you prefer! Stunning location and near to main road. Disappointing dining options, several choices not available as associated bar serving food opens early.

We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Our room had a beautiful view of the light house. Food was delicious at the venue. We loved their full scottish breakfast and fish & chips. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

From the arrival, staff was really friendly and attentive, giving all information about the facilities. The room with private bathroom was quite nice, clean and amazingly quiet, which impressed us most. Really nice to rest and wind down. Breakfast was nice, the pub excellent, really nice to interact with others. External tables and seats for enjoying the sun and the bay also brought a nice sense of nature in the surroundings. An excellent choice in Skye!

Charming hotel with superb staff
The staff at Eileen Iarmain went out of their way to be helpful and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The rooms are somewhat small but have everything you need. We stayed during a heat wave and the only thing we had to ask for was a fan. Other than that, the staff really went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location.
This is a wonderful hotel and was a highlight of our trip to Scotland. The hotel is lovely and so welcoming. The staff are over and above and we had fun chatting with them whether in the pub, restaurant or front office. We had a couple of early starts so missed the breakfast timing so instead they made us a great picnic lunch to take on our days out exploring. Dinner was fabulous. Our room had an incredible view and lots of space to enjoy a couple of days. Thoroughly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Stunning stay in Skye
Spectacular scenery, very kind staff, and many amenities onsite - restaurant, pub, boutique, and whisky shop. The included breakfast was very nice and our family of 4 was comfortable in the family suite. It was the best stop of our weeklong stay in Scotland.

We had an amazing experience at Eilean Iarmain. My daughter and I were only there for one night as a place to sleep and shower before checking out the Isle of Skye. We arrived ten minutes before the kitchen closed, and they offered to make us something to eat before the chef left for the night. The hotel and room itself were beautiful and clean. The views from the hotel were amazing. In a world where customer service is a thing of the past, the employees at Eilean Iarmain were exceptional. They were very concerned with our comfort and making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here, and will do exactly that on my next visit to Skye!

Beautiful location on the south part of Skye. Very friendly and helpful staff. Made us feel very welcome and looked after. We enjoyed a wee whisky tasting of their own whisky’s and got to play a little music in the pub for the staff after work. Very lovely experience! Close to Armidale castle and museum - very good museum to learn some history of area and people. Would love to go back.

A hidden gem of a hotel
This is a gem of a hotel, tucked away off the main road overlooking a small harbour and next to a small shop selling tweeds etc, a gin distillery and a building used as an art gallery. All very traditional styled buildings and very tranquil. Very friendly staff, spotless room with a very comfortable bed, a complimentary sample bottle of their gin or whisky…they have their own too…was very welcome. Comfortable lounge with a warm traditional feel yet bright and airy. Alongside and part of the hotel is a lovely traditional bar, great selection of whiskies and good food. Food at the hotel is very seafood based, all locally sourced and very fresh. A big bonus to the hotel stay. Breakfast is equally good with a selection of dishes. Definitely a hotel to come back to.
