5/5 Excellent

All home comforts.
We were more than impressed with this charming cottage. The weather while we were in Mull was not the best so it was even more important to have a warm, clean and comfortable cottage to spend time in. I was better equipped than my own home with everything you could possible need. The bed was so comfortable and the sitting room upstairs a perfect space to relax in. WiFi wasn’t the best but then we didn’t expect to be, Being in the south of the island it does take a while to drive to sites in the North so we kept to the southern half for most of the time. All in all I would highly recommend this property for a couple or small family.

Home from home
Douglas is an excellent host and his home is very much a home from home. Bunessan post pandemic offers very little opportunity to eat out so as a family we appreciated all the facilities at Assapol Cottage.

5/5 Excellent

A comfortable, spacey cottage with lovely views
Have stayed here twice now and love the kitchen and the views from the lounge upstairs. It is well equipped with a nice sitting out area in the garden overlooking the sea, the Dutchman’s Cap isle and the Burgh. Some some lovely sunsets too. Easy walking distance to the shop and pub/restaurant (pub only open evenings at the moment). Convenient for Staffa tours from Fionnphort. The Ross of Mull is a beautiful part of the island, but if you want to explore the far north west coast you need plenty of time as driving on the island is slow!
