Wonderful
Room was great. Really clean and felt fresh. Our room was located across the street in a different building but only couple of seconds walk from the main building and person at check in desk walked us over to show us where it is. Very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Had a choice of English Brekfast or Vegetarian, cereals etc

Great Family stay
Brilliant stay, enjoyed the apartment and had a great time in Douglas! The accommodation was roomy, beds really comfortable, loads of storage and kitchen lounge area great for the kids to play... In all it was a really good experience, the apartment could do with a few essentials such as cloths, sponges, dishwasher tablets, cooking oil as it is self catering but difficult to see ahead of time what is included. Welcome book and Instructions would be appreciated and provide reassurance for guests.

Dissappointing
I wasn't expecting to be staying at a different hotel to the one booked. Apparently the group own several in the area and i was next door but one in the Rosslyn. 5 floors up and 47 stair away, whilst my friend was in the Mereside. Breakfast was good and so was the view from my room, over the house in front I could see the sea and harbour. The shampoo ran out and wasn't replenished until I mentioned it and the hot water pressure was so low that one day it was a dribble. The stairs and my floor were at angle such that I felt dizzy when walking. the was no evening food available. For the price I would hope to have had a lot better.

Everything was perfect... The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. The staff were nice, helpful, eager to please. The breakfast buffet was incredible in variety, quality and always well-tended. The location was grand being slightly up a hill away from the busy street allowing a quiet atmosphere and spectacular view of the sea and coastline; also, close proximity to the bus routes, restaurants, shops. Our whole party could not have been more pleased and we look forward to staying there again soon!

Large room with big windows. Windows were curtained by very thin curtains so it never got dark in room. Despite opening the windows, it was very hot. The wifi was intermittent. There was a step from the bed to the bathroom which was dangerous at night. My room was in a separate house to the hotel reception. The lock on the door to the house was described as dodgy so I was advised to wedge it open. The landing was smelly and uneven. The carpet was very old.

The HQ restaurant was exceptional. They had a special TT menu, and I can tell you it was prepared with Michelin style attention The staff made our stay really great, with a special acknowledgment to Phil and the Chef The hotel was historic, and historically old. But still grateful for the stay while at TT.

Not as advertised, not my thing.
I arrived to find out that I was not in the building shown in the profile for this hotel, but down the hill. I was told that the only dinner available that night was a £41 Italian tasting menu - not really what I wanted & more than I wanted to spend. Was also told that the restaurant does not do food on Monday or Tuesday...the breakfast was included in my stay (or maybe it wasn't?) - this was not clear & probably should be more clear on here. The hotel could have sent me an email warning me of these changes (others have in the past). I walked down the hill to the other building that housed my room. The stairs up to my room, up two flights of narrow, steep stairs, could be an issue for some. The room seemed smaller than the hotel's pics on here, but the bed was comfortable (a plus). The TV, pretty tiny & old, was fine; especially since I was in Douglas to be out & about. I went out to pick up drinks & take out. I came back, ate my take out, & looked over the hotel guest book. The books says, on the 2nd page, they "request" that no take out food be brought into the guest house. Oops... This is not mentioned on here as well. I never have stayed at a hotel that didn't allow me to bring outside food to my room; especially on a night when the hotel was only serving a specialized, expensive menu. The worst of it, I went to shower in the AM & a LARGE spider appeared in the shower (UGH!) along with cobwebs on the outside. Perhaps it was just a bad weekend.

It is a difficult time in the service industry to get enough employees. Everyone is doing their very best but it does make for challenging travel everywhere. Lots of shorter hours or closed dining. The building I stayed in was very nice and I hope to go and stay there again very soon.

Over all stay was good however it Doesn’t seems to be Proper Hotel as per web site and it is more like a Guest Rooms. Stay was Good luckily as requested at reception moved us from 3rd floor to 1st floor 🙂. Breakfast was really great but hotel members who were helping to clear the tables were bit eager to clear the table soon which we felt bit odd and 3rd day we were suppose to leave before 8 am and my suggestion over here is. If the customers are requesting for Breakfast before 8 am they should be provided some alternative as the customer is paying money for it. Beach Side should be taken off as hardly, no only 1 room might get a chance of beach view that too with little struggle. Over still it will be a great stay for Bachelors, Spinsters or group of friends but families might need to re-think before making the choice of this hotel.
