"As somebody who has been visiting Harrs for 50 years but finding prices in the places we know so well rising beyond our means for every visit, this was perfect. Lovely house with loads of space for 4 adults, large living room, large well equipped kitchen and that amazing view from the dining room and living room. Less famous than Luskentyre and Seilebost, Northton is a great place to stay with amazing views, four deserted beaches in easy reach as well as wildlife (we saw otters, golden eagles...

"Peace and tranquillity for us - a quiet getaway with all modern conveniences. Basic shopping is very accessible and 3 ferry ports within easy reach. In February the most beautiful beaches of white sand were empty. Walking is a real pleasure, but maybe take a flask. So many geese, oyster catchers, lapwings. Amazing."

"First time on Harris and Lewis and really enjoyed the house. It has its quirks (first holiday home ever with an over abundance of storage!) but was spacious and spotless. Had to reset the heating on the first night due to no hot water (the island suffered a total blackout the night before and knocked it out) but the hostess replied immediately and the problem was solved in minutes which was a huge plus. Recommended for anyone visiting the area"
