We liked Cruise for dinner, we never sat at the restaurant area, instead we opted for the comfortable couches at the other end. We always stay in the Old House part of the resort as we love the sitting room with the open fire plus the dimly lit sitting room, which is so incredibly relaxing. For us, what really ruined our stay was the amount of kids in the pool in the Old House. There is another pool area in the new building, which we felt should be where families go if the have kids. Instead, there were families with kids at the pool in the old house, and it totally ruined the tranquility of what is supposed to be a Spa Experience. We came for the purpose of relaxation, and the pool area is a big part of that, so it was disappointing that the resort doesnt have an Asukts Only Pool and Spa area - they do have the pool in the Old House as Adults Only from 8pm till 9pm, but 1 hour simply doesnt cut it, in fact no where near good enough. So this is why we have given an overall score of 3 stars.

I do hope you were able to explore some of the island during your time with us. I certainly appreciate your comments with regards the hotel pool. I would like to advise that your visit did coincide with school holidays which obviously resulted in a large number of families heading to Arran for a getaway. However, I would like to advise that Auchrannie certainly does not discriminate against any of our guests or visitors who wish to use our facilities. Whilst I understand your frustration, I would like to clarify that both of our swimming pools will always remain accessible to both adults and children.We hope to see you at Auchrannie Resort again soon!

Comfort and Tranquility
We stayed in an executive retreat with two dogs and it was perfect. A real haven of comfort and tranquility. The only improvement in the retreat would be an oven tray for warming food, so that's pretty minor! The resort is lovely and has something for everyone. A perfect, relaxing holiday with pets.

Great for families and superb breakfast buffet.
We had an excellent 6 day stay in the spa resort hotel. The service was impressive, nothing was too much bother and all staff were consistently helpful, kind and keen to deliver to whatever was needed. The breakfast buffet was best I've ever had . Smoked salmon and haddock with poached eggs no extra charge. Cruize restaurant all geared up for families and Brambles restaurant evening service was superb. We went 3 times . Definitely recommend this resort, you pay a bit more for sure but the quality is top notch.

We had an absolutely brilliant stay and the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and considerate. The hotel was sensitive to our needs and located us in a room that was quiet with lots of space. Pool facilities are great especially in main hotel where sauna and steam were working. Brambles restaurant fab for dinner and cruize restaurant great breakfast. Best breakfast buffet I've ever had .ever.

Excellent trip. Room was very well kept and clean, facilities are excellent (especially the spa) and great location (even if you're not driving, very easy to get to with use of the free shuttle service. Only small negative I would say is that the evening menu in Cruize (one of the three restaurants in the spa resort section of the hotel) was fairly average; not bad by any means but not great either, though the breakfast and lunch was very good. However, Brambles is an excellent restaurant and we had two brilliant dinners there.

I came here for a getaway after finishing my thesis, to let my hair down, chill out, enjoy a beautiful part of the world and to walk my legs off and eat loads of meat. I achieved all those things. The retreat lodge was a complete stunner, and the surrounding environment was quiet and beautiful such that I slept and rested very very very well. The hot tub out back was a good laugh and even in the wind and rain the lodge was very cozy. The restaurants on site were great with very good service. Wifi in the lodge worked flawlessly the whole time and was a good speed - good enough for videocalls with my family certainly. The resort is convenient for lots of great wandering, such as the walk up Goatfell. I was left wanting to come back. Will definitely be returning.

Couldn't fault.
Really couldn't fault, was away with Dad for two nights. Stayed in the red sandstone building and ate in Cruise. Preferred the pool facilities in the red building. Staff were super attentive and didn't see anytime ran down or in need of repair. The pool especially was very clean and steam rooms smelt pleasant etc. A treat to stay at.

Excellent resort, friendly and proactive staff. We stayed at one of the couples retreats, which had a fantastic outside seating area, fire pit and wood fired bath. The interior of the lodge was finished to a high standard and was scrupulously clean. Definitely recommend.

Was without a doubt the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Me and my girlfriend were enjoying the balcony after dinner just enjoying the view. When one of the waitresses came out and asked if we wanted her to take a picture of us. We had wanted to ask, but didnt want to bother anyone. Just the little touches like that made us feel so comfortable and welcomed
