We were very satisfied with this hotel, the service, food, location and overall experience. Our room was a modern design and somewhat spartan, but it was cool, clean and the bed was particularly comfortable. The hotel and grounds were tidy and well-kept. Friendly and consistent service. Evening entertainment at the beach club was especially relaxing.
My husband and I went to Isla Mujeres every winter for many years. We stayed lot different hotels before and for this time, we found our favorite one. My husband was concern about the location before this trip, because it is not close to downtown which has tons of restaurant and playa norte. But when we stayed at this hotel, we thought we didn't want to any other places. The hotel has the best ocean view in the island, they have a beach park with lots of activities, they run a nice bar and beach side restaurant. They provide equipment for snorkeling. They have bikes free of charge for the hotel guests..... Anyway, you can have everything. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room is clean and spacious. The view is non comparable.

My wife and I had a great time-the food was excellent as were the view, rooms, pools and spa (we had great massages). The only two things that could be improved but would not stop us from returning: the water pressure and the people brought in from other resorts for vacation club tours. We always got chairs at the pool, but it seems unfair that people who paid substantially less at other resorts are able to come take amenities from paying guests). However, there are so many wonderful things about this resort that my wife and I are already planning a trip back!
"good, inexpensive accommodations, however their "
location is the slight negative - if you have a golf cart then it's almost a nonissue. I typically stay in Centro (5 minute golf cart & 7 tope/speed bumps away) but couldn't find anything less than DOUBLE the price of this place for my 2 night stay. So I'm happy with my decision and am glad to have finally stayed in this hotel that i have driven past for years and admired it's outside appearance. The staff UPGRADED me from the $62/night studio that I paid for into a 1 bedroom suite. I think the only difference in the 2 rooms was that I walked thru a kitchen area w/dining table and into the bedroom/bathroom studio area. I never used the kitchen area for ANYTHING, so I'm not sure the upgrade was a big deal, but it was VERY NICE of him to do this for me. I think their occupancy was low. Again I'm not hating on this place at all, I knew where it was located before I booked it and I always rent a golf cart for my stay on Isla. And there is a convenience store w/beer basically on site and several restaurants within a block or 3 and PLENTY of taxis passing by every few minutes.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is very good, right on the beach and within walking distance of many good restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly and most are fluent in English though a few are hard to understand. During our stay the weather was cool and very windy making it uncomfortable swimming in the ocean. Supposedly the pool was heated but whenever we asked about turning the heat back on nothing was done despite assurances that it would be.
Great location - close to beach, excellent location for walking to all amenities. Staff very freindly and eager to please. I would like to see a little more focus on repairs and preventative maintenance.

Coming from the busy north end of the island, and now arriving at the quiet south end of the island we were very pleased after Walking down the lush path to one of the best views on the island, we stayed in room #9 honeymoon suite upper floor private balcony w/loungers, the view is amazing! A seperate bathroom & closet area...it is not your typical new modern hotel room....it is an older Mexican boutique hotel w/character.... they were just finishing a suite #10 that is really nice too! With also a great view! The outdoor restaurant has a great view and serves fresh seafood, has excellent meals & drinks, try a fresh fruit smoothie for breakfast it was wonderful!!! And our best dinner & margarita we had all week! We found the kitchen staff & one of the Waitress's Brenda very friendly & gave us great service! And the beach was small clean & private! Could snorkel right there! & use the kayaks! As an added bonus to our stay we found Ana the manager very friendly, and helpful......We can't wait To stay again!
We came for 2 days to chill out, swim and sunbathe, and we managed to do that when it was sunny for one of those days. However it was cloudy and rainy for the first day, which meant we had to go into town to find something interesting to do.
The hotel has great views on the sea and of the sunset. It's on the quieter side of the island so it's good for a chilled out sunbathe or swim. Go into town, north beach, for dinner.
Accessible by ferry, Isla Mujeres is a major ecotourism destination. El Parque Natural Garrafón (Garrafón Natural Reef Park) features coral reefs inhabited by schools of fish. Giant sea turtles come ashore at Tortugranja to lay eggs. North of Isla Mujeres, thousands of rare and tropical birds roost at a natural sanctuary on Isla Contoy.
