We had a new King studio room and it was the best bed we ever slept in. It had mini fridge, coffee maker, full microwave. Lots of drawer space and hang up space. We asked for a hair dryer and ironing board and iron(was there for a wedding), brought it to us. Nice big Smart TV but wouldn't work (ever), did have wifi in room. Really pretty room with a brick ceiling that had lights around it for nice ambiance. GREAT shower!!!!! Staff was magnificent and pools are way cool! We will hopefully be able to return there if prices stay reasonable. If not we will at least always visit.
Hotel is 1 block away from ferry. Great location. Staff was friendly and all spoke English. I chose pool view room, happy I did cause the sea view rooms were facing the noisy street. Rooms were decent, no frills-could of used some art work to liven up the stark white walls but it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Beds were comfy. My only complaint is that when people were walking by my room, I could here everyone's conversation, maybe thin walls? AC was ice cold, a plus since it was so hot and humid outside. Hotel offered free breakfast from 7:30-9am but I never made it to sample. Make sure to turn in your keys at the end of your stay...I duchy know so I left mine in room so they made me wait until they had someone run up to see if room keys were there. Um, they were just ordinary plastic room keys; not an actual key. Pool was small but after being in the hot sun all day, it was refreshing. They make you put down a cash deposit for pool towels though it gets returned when you bring them back, just little bit of an inconvenience. Won't let it be charged to room. Also, all incidentals must be paid I cash-peso so make sure to bring lots of cash. All in all, was a good stay and I would recommend
Excellent stay - great location. Attentive staff. Stayed twice - once with sister in law and her three children - they loved the pool. The next stay was with my adult daughter in law and her girlfriend - they loved pool, bar and ability to walk across the street to the beach.

This hotel is very nice and is conveniently located in the heart of where the action is. The rooms are well-equipped and clean and the staff is always pleased to help. We had a little bit of confusion when checking in on the room type that we were to receive. Kathy you did a great job of getting us move to the appropriate room on day two of our stay when it was available. Be sure to take a couple of extra dollars to leave tips as that is helpful to increase the value of your service. Also make your reservation at satay very early and your stay as it fills up quickly.
Very welcoming and accommodating for a one night stay. Booking mix up so this was a last minute fill in. The small but clean room and pleasantness of the staff made staying in a lower star rated hotel feel both secure and comfortable. Family type run hotel. Close to the core, restaurants shopping and a few blocks to the beach.
The location of the Mia Reef is by far the best spot on Isla Mujeres. The views all around is very beautiful. This place is very quiet and peaceful and does not have that party atmosphere like in Cancun so if you're looking to relax, this is it. There is only one restaurant and the food pretty good. Service is OK. The staff is friendly but not very attentive so you will have to ask them if you need something. The place is under renovation so it's not 100% yet but when its done, it going to be awesome. There is a security guard at the entrance of the bridge leading to the hotel resort so outsiders cannot come in - it was nice not to be bother by locals trying to sell you their crafts or service. We stay from Aug 17 to Aug 23 on the 8th floor in one of the newly renovated rooms. It was cool art decor and clean but not so practical. The glass shower room does not have a door so water splashes out on the floor of the main bathroom area. There were no shelf's to hold the soap or shampoo bottles in the shower stall or sink counter. They don't provide hair driers so bring you own. We had a great little balcony that look out into the ocean. Going into town by foot is only a 10-15min walk or you can rent a golf cart from them for travelling all around the island for $20/hr or 55 for the day. If you are looking for high luxury and decadence this is not the place but if you are looking for a really nice place to relaxed and enjoy nature, come here.
This hotel has every room right on the ocean. You are about 5 small blocks from the shopping and beach, yet far enough away that it is quiet compared to right in the middle of the strip. AC works good. Get the upgraded room or you will have no privacy in the bathroom. If you want to stumble back to your room at 2am get a different hotel as they have several right in the action. If you are looking to shop, swim and explore and not get wasted, then this is perfect. Rent a golf cart and run the island like a boss. It's a must to drive to the other end of the island and see some of the rich folks houses. Went snorkeling in a little boat with an even smaller motor!! Turned out to be the best snorkeling ever, the guy was so hands our smaller group. Good hotel for the money.
Accessible by ferry, Isla Mujeres is a major ecotourism destination. El Parque Natural Garrafón (Garrafón Natural Reef Park) features coral reefs inhabited by schools of fish. Giant sea turtles come ashore at Tortugranja to lay eggs. North of Isla Mujeres, thousands of rare and tropical birds roost at a natural sanctuary on Isla Contoy.
