This is a wonderful place to stay in Glasgow! Courteous staff and delicious food in the dining room. So clean and quiet. Free parking on site. Close to parks and restaurants. Easy access to the motorway. Highly recommend!

Middle of the road
Average at best, the king sized room we stayed in was not 4-star quality by any means. Uncomfortable bed, outdated room, and weird random iron burn on the carpet that hadn’t been fixed. The proximity to the airport and the waitstaff at breakfast were very nice, but I wouldn’t stay again.

Fun place!
I stayed in one of the Executive rooms overlooking the garden. Room was huge! Bathroom was spacious too. Quiet street, easy parking, beautiful facade. Bed was comfy, slightly on the stiff side. Pillows were good. Check in and check out were flawless!

Very nice room and staff. Large, spacious room. Room was warm and cozy when we came in which was great since it was raining and chilly all day. Room service was quick and very good! Crème brûlée is a must!

Wow, great stay in the castle! The grounds are beautifully maintained, staff friendly and helpful, and the surrounding neighbourhood is also lovely. Easy 5 min walk to grab quick 5-10 min train into downtown.

I was a bit disappointed with the room for the price it struck me as being a bit more like "servants garret" however the room was otherwise comfortable, if basic. The food was good and the staff excellent... good location

The main castle is beautiful from the outside but I only saw the inside as far as the reception desk because our room was a “Garden “ room which was outside the castle, across parking and into the basement of another building completely. It was absolutely nothing special and I would have booked elsewhere had I known. So if you want to stay in the castle I recommend calling them directly to confirm. I fault the property owners for their unclear and frankly slightly sneaky advertising. It was a huge disappointment. I know I’m not the first to feel this way.

Cold room - radiator broken so 2 plug ins. Shower water took ages to heat up and then too hot to stand under. Bed shaking at any movement. All common areas restaurant so nowhere to sit and read while my husband rested. Place needs a serious upgrade

We didn't even stay. Moldy bathroom. We were put in an underground 40 year old room, hotter than hell, had to leave the window wide open and 3 fans to make it tolerable without clothes on, dirty sheets, rude staff - we left and stayed somewhere else.

Whilst we appreciate the room may have been too hot for you, these rooms are not old. They were refurbished last year. The building in which they are situated is only 10 years old. We were fully booked that night, or we would have tried to move you to the main building. Our hotel is clearly listed on travel websites as having rooms situated in 3 areas - main castle, garden rooms, and cottage building. I will organise refunds today for you. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip

Beautiful castle
Beautiful hotel and nice room. Reception staff were wonderful and helpful with our trip to Glasgow. The restaurant was okay. Food was good but service was slow (there was also a wedding party dining) and didn’t feel very welcoming.

The room was big and comfortable. The castle grounds are beautiful. Staff were friendly. Amy gave great suggestions for places to eat. With a train station just down the street, visitors have east access to Glasgow. Highly recommended.

Over priced, Underwhelmed
Rooms described and priced as 'executive', but really no better than a superior double. Room was soulless - empty bookcases, nowhere to sit and drink coffee with partner (as you would expect in an executive room) and a view of the air con units and conservatory roof. No bottled water. Capsules for the nespresso were red and blue - no explanation as to what these contained. In huge bathroom, no bath and toilet in worst position ever. Slow draining sink and no over mirror light. As you check in you're told to go up the stairs and through the glass door - and room 9 is dead ahead. So everyone coming upstairs is banging that door, heavy footing past your room and laughing and shouting to each other goodnight! And ofc in the morning from 6am it's the reverse - loud and no privacy :( Add to this the odd job guy scraping window paint outside your room and waving at you ? not impressed. Damp patches on room ceiling, exterior shower grout black. Pillows like bricks, but soft available in wardrobe. Staff and food amazing, but not worth money paid - expected so much more from 'executive room'.

Beautiful building
Lovely place, but a couple of niggles. We had to give 24 hours notice to get afternoon tea. Also, we weren’t given the Wi-Fi code and it was too late in the evening to go and ask. My big concern was that the key and the light card are on the same ring, so you need to lock your door before you can put your room lights on. This is not well thought out for night time or if there is a fire and you have to get out of your room swiftly. If you have limited mobility, this is not the place for you. The hotel sits on a hill with very steep steps to the streets and there’s no lifts to rooms. Although this all may sound very negative, these are mainly niggles. The hotel is beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was a lovely place to stay.

This is a beautiful hotel with incredibly attentive, friendly and helpful staff. They provide great service and the food and drink were excellent. Our junior suite was beautiful, ample and comfortable and I would recommend staying in one of these to anyone. We will definitely be back at the very least for an evening meal in the restaurant with a charming ambiance, hopefully for other overnight stays also. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay. The hard work, effort and attentiom to detail are greatly appreciated.

Enjoyed my stay. Didn't want for anything. Staff are real professionals. Big shout out to Craig. This gentleman went above and beyond. True gent and an asset to the company. Would definitely stay again if ever in Glasgow.

Unfortunately the room was warm enough the first day. But after we complain they fix it in the second day.other then that castle is very nice and service is ok.
