The husband and wife owners of the hotel were excellent - friendly, helpful and caring. The room was well-appointed and although small, the space was well used, with room for a sofa, table and chairs and cupboard with bar fridge.
The restaurant in the hotel served delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere.
The only complaint we had was that the room lacked a microwave, which we could have used to heat up leftovers and cook some frozen meals.

The hotel was nice and the rooms were comfortable. Convenient store located just downstairs which was handy for snacks and things.
No restaurant in the hotel that I found for evening meals however it was close enough to the centre of Ipswich to get food easily..

Enjoyed this motel. Spacious room with comfortable queen bed. Well appointed. Liked tohe large mugs instead of the usual ridiculous coofee cups motels usually have. Just stayed the one night while in Ipswich for a workshop. Handy to the motor way. Noticed a shopping centre and seafood takeaway across the road. Obviosuly a construction workers motel but our rooms were at the rear with a lovely view over mowed playing fields and nature bush. Very quiet and private. Good air con.
From being greeted at the door by Mary after a long flight and drive, through to a wonderful breakfast of bacon and eggs as well as cereal in the morning - fabulous service. I learnt about the history of Ipswich as well as the local eateries. The house is an turn of the century Queenslander with rustic fittings as well as modern air-conditioning - which was definitely needed on the night I was there. Thanks Mary!
Just 45 minutes from Brisbane, Ipswich is home to the University of Queensland. This historic city has much to offer visitors including art galleries, craft stores, museums, and adventure activities. There is an abundance of parks, gardens, and historic homes along the heritage trails in the city. Dining options range from Australian pub-fare to a variety of Asian cuisines. Vineyards and wineries surround the area, with wine tastings and sales offered daily.
