I enjoyed my stay at the Redcliffe. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, the room was clean and comfortable, and the place is well within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. I would defintely stay there again.

Location is GREAT. Quick walk to some great pubs. Room descriptions/amenities should be clarified on the listing: 1) There was no indication on the listing that our room was off the main property in a stand alone “residence.” 2) Laundry Facilities - listing indicates laundry facilities are available, but we were told that it was only for residents. This is quite misleading. Laundry facilities was one of the key amenities we considered when making a reservation. 3) When we asked for an extra set of towels we were told we would be charged an extra £4.50! Really??

Lovely Little Hotel
This is a lovely little hotel just a 10 minute walk from the station. The room was impeccably clean. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and toiletries provided. Restaurant was superb. Very high quality cuisine. The breakfast was excellent. The Omelette Arnold Bennet was delightful and there were numerous choices.

Last minute booking.
This was booked at last minute. Never stayed before, stay elsewhere most times. I can see why this had availability when no where else in town did. I was asked on arrival if I'd like breakfast the next morning, I said I really don't know and will decide in the morning (normal at a hotel) The next morning I went to the breakfast area, the woman took me to my seat, I then checked out and she said you didn't have breakfast on your booking and you owe us £, no problem I thought. Only then to be accused of not telling them the night before about wanting breakfast. I was told it was irresponsible of me to not know the night before as she had to plan for things. I had an omelette, must be very borderline if you need to plan a few eggs into the daily budget. She demanded to know who booked me in the night before. I refused to tell as I feel that person would have been treated harshly. The basically pushed me out the door as I was rude in questioning why she is treating me this way over a breakfast. The rudest aggressive arrogant person I've seen in a hospitality position. If I owned this place, I'd have my answer as to why I had vacancies and no one else in town did. It's your manager. What a horrible woman.

Cute hotel, good walking distance.
It's just us, but the room we had was way to small for our comfort, and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Very firm mattress, which some like, we dont.

While I didn’t get the “castle view” stated on my reservation, we did get a lovely apartment with kitchenette, big bathroom and (much needed) washing machine. Nice comfortable bed. We didn’t opt for the morning breakfast but friends said it was great!

No where on Expedia info or venue website does it mention they have rooms with no windows located in the basement. There is only one possible escape route in an emergency. The room was very hot and there was no heating on. A small desk fan was the only means to reduce the temperature a bit. Room was well furnished

The place was very tiny for the price I paid £104 per night. There was no space even to open the bags. Bathroom commode could have been cleaner. Hardly any light in the bathroom. It was almost dark. couldn't see properly. The staff were friendly and nice.

Nice, clean quiet hotel in Inverness
Hotel is located on the top of the hill not far from the Castle. Had a single room which was compact and bijou but was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was also clean, the shower was good and the design was really well thought out with ample hooks to hang your towel in easy reach of the shower and a basket to put extra bottles etc on under the shower gel dispensers. Welcome was friendly and check in/out was quick and efficient. Nice place.

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are also beautiful. The waiters and waitresses were excellent. The food I found average. The font desk people a little brusque. There is no lift in the hotel so you have to lug your suitcases up the stairs. The surroundings are beautiful around the hotel. .

Room without a view at an extortionate rate!
There was no indication in the listing that the room didn’t have a window, which considering the room was £124 a night is bad form. I wouldn’t t have booked if I knew this was the case, get the feeling they’re cashing in on the NC500 like every other hotel in Inverness!

Disappointing
We were looking for a night away in Inverness, within walking range of the town centre. We found the Red life which had an executive double room, and we decided to treat ourselves. On arrival, there was nobody at reception and we had to wait for someone to appear. She showed us to our room, which was not in the hotel, but another building across the road. The room was traditionally decorated, but certainly did not feel like an executive room. Looking out of the window it seems the house next door has thrown all their rubbish onto their decking including pushchairs and kids toys. Bathroom was very small, and had an odd blue toilet seat which was loose. Shower did not work properly and was difficult to turn off. Water either freezing or scalding - no in between and couldn’t get the water to go to the handheld shower head . My husband went to reception to be told that there had been no other complaints and it must be us who couldn’t work out how to use it! We’re told they could come over to show us but we’re too busy. Given that it was one of the hottest days of the year, we were annoyed we couldn’t have a proper shower. In the morning, we went over for breakfast and again there was nobody there. We stood for a while, then left our key and went into town where we had a lovely breakfast. Not worth the extra money as in my opinion the room certainly wasn’t ‘executive’. There was a large pull down double bed as well as the king sized bed so felt more like a family room.

As others have said, clean but dated. Staff was friendly, although we could've done without the cursing from the breakfast prep staff that we overheard during check-out. Good for a two-night stopover if you want to save over the many more expensive accommodations in Inverness.

Great stay
The hotel gave us a great upgrade and everything was clean and comfortable.They have a nice restaurant that serves amazing food.The staff was probably the friendliest we ever encountered.The location is great a short walk to city center. We had a very enjoyable stay and can definitely recommend it.

Good location to the train station, and on a quiet side street. A great breakfast and the staff was kind and on top of everything that you requested. The bed was comfy but, room was a bit small. It’s an older hotel so that was to be expected but I did find it a bit claustrophobic.

We were in a room across the street from where we checked in. Our room was small but had everything we needed and came with a view of the river and the castle. The towel rack in the bathroom didn’t work but everything else was fine.

Great stay in a beautiful city
Good location, fabulous food, friendly staff. Overall a good stay. If you are claustrophobic the rooms are on the small side, at least the one we were in. The only complaint was that the shower head was broken. We made due.

I had purchased a Double Room at approx. £109 but with the Redcliffe having to pay a commission then they only get approx. £90 for the one night. I was informed that Breakfast was NOT included whereas when I booked 6 weeks ago for the same price it was. I was informed by staff in the morning when booking out that if I had booked directly with them at £90 approx. it would include breakfast. My understanding is they take the booking for a Double room but downgrade you to a Comfort room without breakfast so that they make the same margins. I stay in Inverness about 10 nights pr annum for work within the NHS and I will NOT be returning to this Hotel Again, so thanks but no thanks

There is a separate building with rooms in which we stayed. It is just across the street. Might be a little inconvenient to go to meals in "Scottish sunshine" (i.e., rain) but rooms are large and comfortable and have been recently modernized.

We were not expecting to have a full kitchen with our room. That ended up being a nice feature! Carrying luggage up the stairs was a downside, but many places in Scotland are like that.
