Overall pleasant experience. Wish there was more signage and the phone number was inaccurate. Still, we were able to check in to our clean hostel without a worker and had a pleasant experience. The bathroom was especially nice.

Good and affordable place to stay in a quiet neighborhood at Inverness. It took us a good minute to figure out which room was ours since it's a self-check-in process and the keys to each room were on the doors. Overall great stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE. No hot water, and I mean NONE, not like the pictures at all, very dirty, smells. Horrible experience. After 1st night of a 3 night stay we left and stayed elsewhere.

Cool Place!
This was a really cool place to stay. Our group stayed in the 5 person room which had 5 single beds around the walls. We called it the "Seven Dwarves Room." The room was huge, with its own bathroom and we were very pleased with it. The beds weren't the most comfy in the world but we managed. The kitchen was clean and well stocked and the other guests were respectful and kind. We stayed in several hostels on our trip and this one was one of our favorites! There was confusion during check in as the number provided to contact someone for help wasn't working or no one was answering. Not the best way to manage the property. But keep access to your email as this property uses that as its primary form of checking you in.

Not a very good location, poor repair, and overall quite dirty. Seems like a place the owners are just trying to milk for what they can without putting any effort or work back into the place. The freezer in the kitchen was so iced over the door wouldn’t shut.

GOOD: Price; Location is in a leafy quiet road ; comfortable bed;Parking BAD:The non smoking room had a stench of smoke. View from window was a yard full of junk. Noisy building so heard every other occupants movements. COMMUNICATION:Received self check in details a day after we had checked out! Fortunately we were able to speak to the contact by phone who told us our room number. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay it's acceptable only if you don't care about high standard of accomodation and have earplugs ( which we did)

We were very jet lagged so it was a convenient place to crash for the night. But our room smelled of stale cigaret smoke, we had to sleep with the window open. And the mattresses had buttons in them that made them extra uncomfortable. But the place was clean. And we felt safe.

It’ll do if you’re on a budget.
No sign of the host, but that’s fine. Good points; parking on site, room was clean. Bad points; uncomfortable old mattress, shower head was more like a hose, no soap at all not even a cheap dispenser (public toilets have free hand soap). No signage on gate or entrance.

Surprised this place had a good ratng
The yard was a mess with trash and construction debris. I was afraid we were in the wrong place. I was afraid to go in. The room was ok but the heat had broken and was being fixed. There was no host on site and the contact person was not helpful. The room was freezing and it was after midnight when it warmed up. We asked for a space heater and we're not giving a return call until the next morning. Overall the place had many things that were not functioning well. I was surprised it had such a good rating on this site and bookings.com.

Good place to stay. Clean and tidy bedroom, bathroom and the shared kitchen. Easy walk into the town centre along the river. My only issue was the pillow was very uncomfortable

Disappointing - owner needs to do some maintenance
Booked this because for a night as I was camping and fed of of being soaked, property listed as having self service laundry and free WiFi - there are no laundry facilities and if there was WiFi I couldn't find the connection details. The lock on the room didn't work, so couldn't lock door, otherwise room was fine. The shower was missing a door so bathroom floor got soaked when showering, and the floor appeared to be starting to collapse probably due to rot from all the water on floor. Cleanliness of kitchen area could have been better.

Would highly recommend this Hostel. It's more like a B&B just you make your own Breakfast ( cerial toast and yoghurt tea and coffee) Make your own evening meal 2 Tesco store's not far away. Kitchen has all you need with own basket in fridge to store your own small amount of shopping. Make tea and coffee anytime and you can use Tv room.

Starting with Check In. We were told no earlier than 4pm which would’ve been fine except for the floor in our room had obviously not been swept and there was debris from the floor that had made it under the comforter in the bed. There was no one to greet us for our check in, and there was no indication that it was a self check in situation. The only reason we knew what room we were to belong in was because we had called earlier in the day with questions because we never received any information after the booking was confirmed. The Room The bathroom had cold standing water next to the bathtub, which one again only confirms that the room was not properly cleaned. Debris was on the floor obviously from the previous occupants shoes, food and whatnot. Overall House and Amenities Occupants were given keys to the front door but during our stay it seemed like we were the only one to lock it. Upon many arrivals back from town, or when leaving the house the front door was wide open. Thankfully our individual rooms locked but it was still unsettling to see there were not notes around reminding occupants to lock the door. The usage of the words “BREAKFAST PROVIDED” is a complete sham. If breakfast provided means whatever is left over by other tenants, and 3 tubs of butter then this is the place for you. However if you are expecting basic essentials like tea, coffee, bread, fruit, or yogurt you will be greatly disappointed.

Nice quaint location in a local neighborhood. Walls are pretty thin between the rooms so keep that in mind if that bothers you. Guests were respectable though and it wasn’t noisy after hours.

The room was just right size for family of 4.clean bathroom with shower. Well stocked up kitchen to make your own breakfast -different cereals, bread,jams,cheese, meat,fruit,eggs,bacon.lovely owner.nice and quiet. No tv in the bedroom but there was a lounge with tv.

The place is good! Stevie was wonderful and recommended good places, directions and restaurants to try. About 20mins walk to city and everything was available to use. I personally love the neighbourhood, quiet and pretty. Ample parking space. This place is way above normal hostel and on par with B&B, you only have to prepare your own meal, utensils are provided. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately disappointing
Room was substantially less comfortable and smaller than the first room we stayed in. The beds were really hard and the bathroom had no extractor fan. All in all should at least have been cheaper. There was no option to swap rooms either.

Awesome place in Inverness
Stayed here with a group of friends, enjoyed it. Calm neighbourhood just by few attractions. There is a very well equipped kitchen, and a separate lounge with a TV. Also, clean as you would like to find. Everything we need and would ask for is there for us to enjoy. Good value for money in this area, would definitely come back in future.
