2-bedroom apartment for self-catering rental. Portland Apartment sleeps 4 within walking distance of Inverness. This property is an ideal basecamp for exploring more of what Inverness has to offer or to travel further afield and explore more of the Highlands and Islands.

The lounge is furnished with a large corner settee, coffee table, side cabinet with lamp, black-out curtains, widescreen TV with Freeview, DVD player, music system with radio, CD player, Wi-Fi internet router and great views over the River Ness. The kitchen (just off the lounge) offers guests everything needed for a self-catering holiday in the Highlands with a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine/ dryer, fridge, freezer, electric kettle, toaster, microwave, crockery, cutlery, glassware, selection of pots, pans and utensils, dining table and 4 chairs and view over river Ness. The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, bedside cabinets with lights, large built-in mirrored wardrobe with shelving and extensive hanging space, widescreen TV with Freeview. The modern en-suite with toilet, wash hand basin and double shower cubicle. The second bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinets with lights, large mirrored wardrobe with shelving and extensive hanging space. Ironing board, clothes dryer, iron, hairdryer, all stored in wardrobe. The bathroom is equipped with a bath, plumbed over-bath shower, WC and wash hand basin. The outside has allocated parking for 1 car outside the apartment in a private car park. Guest parking is pay and display. Any other information: Gas central heating throughout with on-demand hot water.

Prior to your arrival, we will email guests a contact number for the property owner or local housekeeper for your use should you require any assistance during your stay. A car is recommended when staying in the Highlands, however, this is not a necessity. There is a good bus service in Inverness with routes running through-out Inverness and the surrounding area. The train station and bus station can be accessed within a 5-minute walk from the property. The nearest Airport is within a 20-minute drive. No smoking. Not suitable for pets. No parties or events. Unfortunately, the apartment is unsuitable for children under 4 years old. Check-in time is 4 PM - 10 PM. Check out time is 10 am. Although housekeeping staff will clean the property after you leave, we respectfully ask all guests to clean and put away any plates, cups, glasses, etc they have used during their stay. All bed linen, towels (one hand towel and one bath towel per person), electricity, heating and Wi-Fi are included in the price. A starter pack of supplies includes toilet rolls, complimentary sachets of coffee, sugar, teabags.

convenient for Inverness
We were in Inverness for the weekend for a family wedding and just needed somewhere with 2 bedrooms close to the centre. This flat was perfectly clean and well situated. If you want somewhere full of character this is not it but it's functional. The missing star is for the poorly equipped kitchen - having read other reviews mentioning this I luckily took some essentials with us - a cafetière for one - coffee making I would consider essential and I'm not quite sure why, having had so many comments about it, they don't just provide a few more items in the kitchen. Otherwise great.

A lovely clean apartment
There is nothing very special about this apartment, its a two bed apartment with two bathrooms and a kitchen and living room. But I have to say it was spotless. all of the equipment was of a really good quality and everything worked well, the shower was one of the most powerful I have used anywhere. I would very happily stop here again.

Great location
Perfect location - short walk to grocery, pubs, shopping and restaurants. We loved the view of the river. Glad to have a parking spot! We were happy to have a washer/dryer, but found it difficult to use as it took hours to complete a small load and door won’t open until it cools down, so you can’t remove anything. One suggestion we had would be to be more descriptive of the location of the key box - located about knee level to the left of the entrance door to the building - When it’s raining and your scrambling.... it was a bit frustrating to spot. Other reviews seemed to have issues also. But loved, loved the place! Very comfortable and homey. Look forward to coming back!

Very clean and well appointed
My wife and I shared this property with another couple for our 3 days in Inverness and the surrounding area. There was plenty of room for the four of us. It was very clean and well furnished (we especially liked the French Press for coffee). Very quiet location (not in the center of town) but everything was within walking distance (except for food shopping). We would certainly consider this property again.

This was a beautiful property.
This property was in a wonderful location. It was very clean & very comfortable & walkable to many restaurants, bars & the bus station, where we went to take a Skye tour. Dealing with the people at Gael was a pleasure. We would definitely come back.
