People and standards were great, location is perfect. The rooms just lacked a little user friendliness. The tray with the kettle I had to put on the floor u see the desk as it was the only plug it would reach if I wanted to keep the tv plugged in and no plug sockets near the bedside tables. The bar closed at 10pm and the hotel generally felt like it was on a cost saving, including the room aircon. Lovely hotel. Perfect location, wonderful team, worth the small inconveniences as great price too

Lovely staff but room was a bit tired and dated, needs a refurb. Also a/c unit in the room was really loud and rattled. Not what I expected from a 4* hotel, although location was great, 5 minutes from the old town.

This is an older property but is well maintained. The staff here are excellent, and the restaurant was outstanding. The only complaint really is that there weren't many plugs in the room. You'd have to unplug something to plug something else in. More of an inconvenience than anything else really.

Furniture and carpets are dated however it's quite clean hotel. We got a great price for 2 days stay so can't complain. I recommend you take a short walk to the city centre for a meal instead of eating in the hotel as the food is not great.

It needs a facelift
This hotel is conveniently located but it desperately needs a facelift. It was first open in 1968 I believe. The carpet is in a desperate condition. They try by keeping everything clean but they can't cover up the age of the items in the rooms. The parking is large and it's easy to park there. The staff was friendly and nice.

The rooms and exterior are a little dated and, in our room, we had both a broken wall socket and a broken lamp - the lamp was fixed quickly when we pointed it out to the team. The amenities are OK but for a four-star hotel you might expect a little more than you get.

We asked to change a room due to the bed being so small and despite being exceptionally busy the reception were most helpful offering us different rooms and an upgrade which we took giving us a much bigger bed and room for a small amount more. Excellent and helpful staff at all times

The aicon started heating up the roo. In the night. We oppened the window in the end and as we had to get up early anyway the noise from outside was not an issue. I was in such a rush out of the hotel i forgot to mention it at the reception. The room Number was 517. Please pass this to the management. Otherwise the stay was very good. Thabk you.

A great 4 star within 5 min walk of central Torun
We stayed for 4 nights at the Mecure Hotel and we were very pleased with it. It is definitely a 4 star as advertised with great service, comfortable rooms and an excelllent restaurant. What really stood out was that it wasn't centrally located near the Cinema City and Kopernic University while also being only a short 5 minute walk into central Torun (oldtown/stary miasto). So it has all the benefits of being in town without the noise. We will be going back.

Hotel located very close to Old town so everything within walking distance. Nice room, however the only disappointment we found was the beds were uncomfortable and the mattresses were covered with a thick plastic mattress cover which felt lumpy so unfortunately we didn't sleep well.

It is conveniently located from Old Town, at a major intersection, so very easy to find. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. They were also patient with me trying to make myself understood in Polish.

The hotel is okay and in the middle of bus station and old town. Need 10-15 minutes walk. The staff is not really very helpful. It may be due to their English level. The hotel is a bit run down and need some renovation. Especially the room door, when I woke up in the morning, I found that it was opened.

A nice stay
The hotel is about 3/4 of a mile walk from the train station. One can certainly take the bus, but we walked - to and from. Our room was ready upon arrival (around 11:30), very clean and comfortable. From the hotel to the old town is about a 10 minute walk (or less). The staff was nice and had good advice as to touring and transportation.

Convenient and affordable
This is a very pleasant place to stay while visiting Torun. It's easy to get to and only a 10-15 minute walk to the medieval center. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is good if it's part of your reservation. I enjoyed my time here.

Refurbished hotel in Torun
Overnight stay for my wife and I in this refurbished hotel (formerly Hotel Helios but now part of the Mercury group). Conveniently located a short walk from the old town in Torun and offers a breakfast buffet as well as a cafeteria serving meals all day. Did not spend too long in the hotel but the room was comfortable, with good, clean facilities. The problem for us was that the hotel is located close to a very busy road in Torun and getting to sleep was difficult due to the traffic and tram noise.
