Pocket Guide: El Molinito Industrial Area Hotels

Find Hotels in the Industrial Area, Mexico City

To the north and west of Mexico City, in the Industrial Area you’ll find places to stay in the towns of Naucalpan and Tlalnepantla de Baz. In the Industrial Area, accommodation ranges from independent hotels and family-friendly hotels to international business hotels and spa hotels. With easy connections into the city, the Industrial Area is an interesting alternative for visitors to Mexico City, with some interesting attractions in its own right.

Exploring Naucalpan and Tlalnepantla de Baz

In the Ciudad Satelite, you’ll be hard pushed to miss the landmark of Naucalpan and one of its best known sights, the Torres de Satelite sculpture. The Torres consists of five towers designed by architects Luis Barragan and Matias Goeritz, who worked together with the painter Jesus Reyes Ferreira to create one of the most striking visual images in Mexico City. The Torres is listed by UNESCO for its architectural heritage.

In Tlalnepantla de Baz, explore two Aztec sites – the pyramids of Tenayuca and Santa Cecilia Acatitlan. Both are archaeological wonders and each has a small museum that tells the story of the sites and their importance to Aztec culture. Also worth a visit is the Centro Cultural Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz where a permanent photography exhibition tells the story of the modern town.

From Industrial Area to Mexico City
