Facilities clean & remodel has been nice - understated & minimalist. Location difficult with train passing close by but back rooms are more quiet than road facing. Staff was great. Fine hotel for the price.
Indio is the home of the Date Festival! This Motel 6 is in the heart of Coachella Valley, only minutes from Trump's Spotlight …More
The room was clean and neat. The staff were courtieous and helpful. The breakfast was the skimpiest we had encountered in all our Windham stays. the microwave in the breakfast room did not work, but the attendant promptly came out and replaced it. overall, it was a satisfactory stay.
This is the true definition of "no frills". The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were a little hard. TV was only local broadcast channels. No clock. The shower must have been designed by a very short person. I'm not tall by any means, but I had to bend backward quite a bit to rinse shampoo. Towels were clean, but very thin. Certain things you would get at higher priced rooms were not there: Hair dryer, Ironing board and iron, coffee maker and coffee, etc. There is a room air conditioner in the back of the room that worked well, but a little loud. The room was pretty clean, but it kind of had that old building smell. Next time I'll bring a candle.
My first night was pretty quiet. The second night (Saturday), there was a family with small kids above my room, bouncing around. They did eventually quiet down. There are trains that go by across the street that could be pretty loud, but not too bad.
I was there or a two day golf tournament over the Memorial Day weekend. Like I said, I just needed an inexpensive place to sleep. It worked perfect for me.
Great hotel... I was very impressed I thought I was at the Hilton. The only negative is the breakfast eating area was small.. Other than that the this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. I really liked the fact of the room smelling fresh the whole night and their was a nice balcony to sit out on also. Just a very nice stay
The fast-growing community of Indio is best known for its seasonal offerings. Its palm trees bear dates, the sweet, sticky fruit common in Middle Eastern cuisine. With the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Indio’s population of 49,000 can easily double overnight. The Empire Polo Field hosts this annual event, which has drawn performers from Willie Nelson to Rage Against the Machine.
