The only downside of the appearance was the lawn needing mowed and landscape needing weeded. Can’t judge a book by its cover! So of course you question "oh, no what have got myself into." Thankfully the interior was better. BUT, not by much. This house is dirty. The refrigerator stunk! Carpets in both bedrooms are filthy. Baseboards are very dirty. Hairs were left in the 2nd bathroom sink/tub is very worn. Master bath tub is beyond worn. Mismatched decor(not that this really matters when your asleep). And, absolutely no complimentary amenities. The online pictures are not true to the reality. The wooden deck I wouldn't even step on .… probably fall through. There was literally rot above the window. They don't have the common knowledge to keep a first aid kit in the house. Their chair stabbed my friends leg and since he has a heart condition he is on medication to thin his blood. Therefore I had to drive and get supplies. Wasting time to stop him from bleeding everywhere. Home owner says it's our fault and we should take the steps to bring bandages. They went to the extent to pull out the paper towels and towel that was saturated in blood out of the trash for photos. We understand there was blood on their rugs. No denying that. The fact the owner was only concerned about getting their money over the health of my friend, just shows they only care about their wallet. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The listing states check-in at 4 PM and check-out at 11 AM, but the owner sent different times — 3 PM check-in and 10 AM check-out — which felt misleading.Upon entering, the place smelled strongly of wet dog. I had already seen reviews suggesting to bring air fresheners, so I came prepared. Still, I seriously question whether the property was properly cleaned before our stay. There were flies throughout the house, beer caps on the floor, dust in several areas, and the bathrooms didn’t appear freshly cleaned. The grass hadn’t been mowed in what looked like weeks, making the outdoor space unusable. On top of that, only two trash bags were provided for the entire week, and the floors were noticeably dirty.The kitchen had supplies but the dishwasher was broken. With a few changes this property has great potential... 1) Clean the property better. Floors turned white socks black and were sticky. Counters were dirty, and trash left under table. 2) Mattresses were set on the floor instead of on a frame. They were very low. 3) Stock the kitchen better. Most plates were not microwave safe and threw sparks in the microwave. 4) Upon arrival widows were left open and widows were nor secure. The back door had no shade for privacy. We arrived late and I thought someone else was in the house. 5) Leave the correct amount of wash clothes and towels for guests. 6) One box of tissues wont break the bank. Bathrooms were nice, garage parking was clutch, communication was great, washer/dryer very nice. ##### Chris F.
