It is spacious and updated and has a ton of potential. It has 4 bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs and also has two washer/dryer setups in the house, which for a house this size is great. (We didn’t use them, but I thought it was great to see that.) The neighborhood though, was loud. There was on multiple occasions, random music blaring from neighbors, dogs barking outside for extended periods of time in the middle of the night.. like 2am. There’s a train in the distance you hear frequently. Some of the neighboring houses are neglected and this house definitely stands out as one of the nicer ones on the street. As relayed to Vacasa, the cleaning company, or whoever cleans the space needs to pay a lot more attention to detail when cleaning. There was a good amount of dust, dirt, grime in the corners, in many rooms, the kitchen had sticky handles on cabinets, dried food spills on cabinets, dirty dishes put back in the cabinets and leftover coffee in the coffee pot from the guests from the last stay. In different rooms there were random socks and trash. There were dead bugs in \*mostly \* empty drawers. Someone just needs to go in there and do a deep clean. The distance to Lucas Oil Stadium, good food options, and the Zoo were all very reasonable. The host was extremely responsive for the one issue we brought to their attention. ( no hairdryers ) Vacasa can’t really change the noises outside, but they can change the way they clean this property, and it will make the biggest difference for the next person who stays there. ##### Michelle K. We did have an issue with the front door code at a later time, but the host was responsive and we got it figured out. We mostly went in & out through the back door, because all 4 of our vehicles fit in the backyard. As other reviews stated, we heard some loud music & barking dogs, but no one complained that it kept them awake. The house was clean except for the drinking glasses in the corner kitchen cabinet -- they all needed to be rewashed. The beds were comfortable, and overall we enjoyed our stay. The main drawback was that we cook a lot when we rent houses, and there weren't enough plates and bowls for 7 people. The cookware was sparse also, although we made it work. We really could have used a colander. There was a lack of good knives also, so chopping vegetables and prepping meat was tricky. We know to always bring some of our own cookware necessities, so it wasn't too bad. We would stay here again. Thank you! ##### John F. To set the scene, just 500 feet from the front porch lies a memorial for a victim of gun violence. Late-night disturbances from neighbors shouting and gunfire were frequent. The flimsy manual gate from the sketchy alley made accessing parking a hassle and unnerving. You can view the neighborhood yourself by checking out the Google Street view of Dexter St. in Indianapolis. The house itself is a poorly remodeled duplex converted into a single-family residence. It clearly reflects a "builder's choice" renovation, utilizing low-quality materials and subpar craftsmanship. The furniture throughout is cheap and the home barely had the necessities to qualify for a short-term rental.Opting for a different short-term rental will provide you with significantly better value for your money. ##### Jeremy V.
