This is very nice for an older property. The breakfast was awesome as was their service while we were there. The room was kind of small but that was to be expected. We would stay there again. Beautiful area to sit and enjoy the river behind the hotel.

We felt like being treated like king and queens. Rooms were great at this historic place in the county side. Food very yummy especially breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you for a couple of great days at Svostrup Kro.

We had a wonderful dinner and huge breakfast here and enjoyed staying overnight. It made the perfect stop for us between Copenhagen and Aarhus. We found it very quaint and authentic but also comfortable and clean. A special place to visit.

This inn was an unexpected surprise. We reserved the suite which had a full dining room, an upstairs with two beds, a lovely bath - very Danish and very quaint. The grounds were beautiful and the dinner was excellent. The staff was attentive and one waiter in particular really went out of his way to ensure that the food was to our liking. This was a wonderful stay.

Quiet country location by a river where canoes float by. Staying in a kro with tons of history around you.

great hotel by a lovely river
This is a converted farmhouse and farming complex dating back to the 1830s. They have fixed up all of the old rooms very comfortably and the restaurant is excellent. If you like exotic liqueur you will be amazed by their collection of scotch (250) rum (40) cognac (30) Armagnac (20) and aquavit (without number). The farm is located by the side of a lovely river and overlooks a meadow. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. The hostess took us on a tour of the wine cellar. If you prefer 21st century chrome and glass you will be disappointed. If you like something different with history and charm you will love this place.

Skøn gammel kro
Svostrup Kro er et fantastisk sted! Man føler nærmest, at man er en del af en kulisse fra ens oldemors tid. Maden er god og rigelig. Personalet er glade og imødekommende. Det eneste malurt i bærret, er at lydene fra køkkenet var meget påtrængende, når man var i junior suiten. En dør ud til sikkert et forrådskammer blev smækket et hav af gange og bassen fra musikken i køkkenet røg også direkte op igennem bygningen. Næste gang vælger vi bare et andet værelse, for Svostrup Kro er et dejligt sted.

2 dages ophold på Svostrup Kro er altid en posetiv oplevelse - denne gang havde vi både storm og heldagsregn , men da vi også skulle besøge familie den ene dag, var opholdet her på kroen helt perfekt

Sengen var ikke god. Smal, dårlig madras og meget knirkende, hvilket desværre gav en dårlig søvnoplevelse. Morgenmaden var ikke ret spændende, halvtørt pålæg/ost og kedeligt hvidt brød. Middagen (Pramdragergryde) uden ret meget smag og med brændte kartofler til. Dertil var den vin vi valgte udsolgt, viste det sig. Kroen gav dog en kop kaffe som plaster på såret for den ringe madoplevelse.

En sand perle
Denne kro skal bare opleves, den taget ud af en svunden tid og er et lille museum i sig selv. Dejlig kromad og sødt og venligt personale. Omgivelserne er helt fantastiske med sø, å og marker. Det eneste lille minus var, at der først var morgenmad fra kl. 8.00, så hvis man skal nå videre fx cykle som jeg, er der noget unødig ventetid. Men jeg kommer helt sikkert tilbage.

fantastisk gammel kro
Hold da op. Det var en fantastisk oplevelse med en gammel, velholdt kro, hvor der er antikviteter her der og alle vegne. Fantastisk modtagelse med bord reserveret. Vi havde så valgt gammelt værelse med forlænget alkove. Sjovt at prøve noget nyt. Maden og morgenmaden var perfekt. Manglede måske mulighed for købe fx Gl.Dansk til morgenmaden. Man kunne selvfølgelig bare have spurgt. Vin, whisky og cognac lager forrygende. Spændende at spise i de gamle omgivelser med gamle tallerkener osv. Masser af pynt. En kæmpe oplevelse. Og så kunne man nyde synet af Gudenåen, medens man drak kaffe eller øl på terrassen. Fantastisk personale. Meget hjælpsomme. Vi kommer igen.
