We were asked to host the property dog, Baily, which was a great companion for walks and hangougts. Long beach to walk on but not adequate for swimming. In door accomodation are basic, could use some updating, especially bathrooms. The one in the kitchen is excellent. Bedrooms do not connect to a central living area. Kitchen appliances are ok, but we did not have a toaster. They provided all consumables for the week including filtered water. The property owner and support personnel were fantastic and friendly they responded to our every need. (I speak Spanish). A minor drawback was having to chain and padlock gates was we enter and leave the property. Also the only swimable beach that we found adequate was La Playita in the town of Venao about 40 min. drive. Small plaza in down town, but no major attractions . Markets and restaurants about 10 min drive from the property. A con is that there is only one shop which has basically nothing and is really expensive; so you either have to bring your food or eat at the bar in the hostel. The beach itself is good for surfers, but you can also enjoy the waves without a board. There are only two (or maybe three; nobody knows) buses from Pedasí to Playa Venao: once in the morning (I think at 7) and once at 12 o'clock. It takes around 1.5 hours.
