Place is absolutely gorgeous, food delicious, but the service is pretty lousy (even for Spain!), and this wasn't even the high season...

The arrival experience to this property is one of the best I have experienced from the staff to the amazing view through the lobby across the pool out to the sea. It’s a wonderful hotel in a superb location. Can not recommend highly enough.

The first noticeable thing is that the service in this place is utterly horrendous. The staff are lazy and it very much feels like you are having to continuously beg for attention or service. Rarely do you come across a semi helpful soul as the vast majority are either more interested in chatting to their colleagues or ignoring you flat out. Check in counter utterly shambolic. Very quick to take pre authorisation however indescribably rude and disorganised. We were checked into our room a few hours after arriving. Room was noisy being located within 20 metres of the yard. To top it off we were greeted by two single beds shoved together and no amenities in the room. We had paid for a King room, as part of our anniversary trip, so at minimum we expected this hotel to adhere to that ie you get what you pay for. And that's when the chaos ensued. I complained to the front desk about the room and that this wasn't what we paid for, only to be met by an argumentative, sullen individual who said and I quote 'we don't guarantee rooms at this hotel'. Suffice to say I blew my lid as she tried to voice home the stupidity of her own argument which later converted into we have no other rooms. Enter the manager who then magically came up with another room. After all that fuss and arguing we felt like leaving and find another hotel. We should have - the arguments and insults set the tone. Totally overpriced in every respect. Nothing good to say, they ruined our anniversary.

Service was awful. During breakfast At the buffet the server never came to me while other waiters were asking other patrons if they wanted second or third cups of coffee. At the beach 0 service, one employee turned away when I needed help. At the pool which I payed 300$ for , the server gave me the wrong sushi barely came to us, all while attending to others.

I thought the property was beautiful and the staff was great. It's close to all the restaurants and the town. The only downside is that it's very expensive.

Not a 5 Star Hotel but 5 Star Price

Our flight had us arriving early and once we arrived, we checked in and asked if there was an opportunity for early check in; there was not. No problem. The staff indicated that they would mark us for priority and try to get us in ASAP. We hang by the bar to wait. The bartender kept forgetting our drink orders-in the grand scheme of things, not a big deal. We ordered food and it was delivered with no issue. Then, the waiter delivered food to us that wasn’t ours, again, not a big deal. I periodically checked in with the front desk (we were fairly desperate to sleep) and again they assured us that they would do what they could. Finally check in time hits (3pm) and I ask about the status of the room...still not ready. Semi-annoyed between the drink, food and now the room is delayed...but fine. I asked (I shouldn’t have had to ask...IMO) for some champagne as a courtesy and they agreed. Great. We finally get to the room and it is TINY. I’ve lived in Manhattan and I can deal with a small space but my fiancée's feet are hanging off of the bed and into the passageway to the balcony...the space between the bed and the wall (where his feet are-pic attached) cannot be more than 10inches a part . I literally have to lift his feet and shuffle to get by. Also, our king size bed , is really 2 twins put together with a clear separation going down the middle (pic attached). The hotel indicated they could put something on top to address, so it appears like one bed...okay. Never happened.
