The hotel is located in a wonderful location downtown Iasi. It’s an old hotel so don’t expect too much. It was brutally hot and the AC didn’t work. I tried to call the front desk but the phone didn’t work. It was one of those experiences where you say “it is what it is”. The WiFi was good so that’s a major plus.

Excellent location with helpful and friendly staff. Room was dingy with mould on the bathroom ceiling and a small uncomfortable bed.

Nice stay in a perfect location.
Friendly staff, very quick to help a friend whose booking hadn't worked, and they also helped with an iron at very short notice. The room was nice and I didn't need anything more, although some things in the room were a bit old and broken and could do with renovation. Would definitely recommend the Astoria to anyone visiting Iasi.

Very nice hotel in a good location
Very good location. Friendly staff. Nice variety of continental buffet breakfast. Only downside was the toilet flush was broken but we didn't raise this at the hotel until checkout as we weren't there long enough for this to be a problem.

Seems ready to close down
Nice building, but not looked after, or even properly cleaned. About half the lights in communal areas have no bulbs, the bedding was not clean, towels were not replace when requested, taps dripping. The breakfast was big enough, but mostly recycled food from the previous day. Staff don't seem interested. It felt like the place was getting ready to close down.

Very disappointed!
Very disappointed! We received a 2* room even the hotel is classified as 3*. The 2* rooms are located at 05th floor. This information I received only at check out and only asking the Receptionist if it is correct that they have 2* rooms. Very old room, claustrophobic, not comfortable, the Tv was not functioning properly, the minibar wad empty (no water at least) and attention I was asked at the check out if I consumed smth from the mini bar. Shower cabin very small. AC not functioning. The lift was not functioning (the room was at 5th floor and having a luggage is not so pleasant to carry it by stairs). I stayed there before, but received a normal 3* room and I was quite satisfied with it. This time it was a disaster. Only the location of the hotel is good.

Excellent location for visiting Iasi. Room service not very good and rooms a little noisy as you could hear the other occupants in their rooms. Hotel would benefit from a general facelift and modernisation.

Prefer not to talk about. Miserable service, too bad as it is in a great location. Breakfast excellent, but service: like we were their personal ennemies. We were forced to extend our stay, finally find a better place for few bucks more, at Unirea.

Very bad experience in Astoria hotel
I have stayed 2 days in the hotel with my wife,40 euro per night which i was charged 21 $ extra for 2 days without knowing from my master card,we get bitten by some kind of insects there,40 euro per night is so much for such room,since its dirty, bathroom towell looks yellow because too old and dirty, bathroom leaking water all time and dirty,no breakfast,no tea, coffee or anything from room fridge for free which they told that we must pay for everything even for the water. i really did regret because i took it,will never do again.hope they will refund me back my money which they over charged. i dont advice you to pay such money for such room. best of luck

The internet. Rate rooms are like a closet.
The bed was.very small old thin sheets. Not good. One thin pillow old tv. Very tiny room

Great Hotel in the Perfect Location
The hotel itself is not super fancy but it is cozy and clean. The room service cleans and restocks your room every day. The staff is amazingly helpful, they went above and beyond to help me several times. The breakfast is delicious (it is served in the historic Grand Hotel Traian). Also, you will discover this is a perfect location to walk to many of the main areas in Iasi such as the Palace if Culture and also the University / Copou area (and it is a very short taxi or tram ride to the Gara). One of the only downsides was the wifi, which kept going in and out (it could have just been my room though).

Great location next to the Union square. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast for 6 euro. Near the stops of the airport bus which costs less than 1 euro. Central but quiet location. Good value for the money, single room 60€/day. No bar or restaurant in the hotel but plenty nearby.

L’hôtel est très bien situé. Par contre la première chambre proposée l’ eau de la douche était impossible de fermer le robinet, il a donc coulé toute la nuit. Et la seconde chambre qui nous a été proposé il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude et la moquette de l’entrée dans la chambre était toute mouillée
