"We loved the location high up in the old town with views over the roof tops to the sea. The terrace was lovely- in the evening with a cool breeze blowing. Compact, clean and well equipped apartment with a super comfy bed. Our host Ivanka was very helpful and informative of local attractions and places to eat out. Note there are many steps up to the property so pack light. We got used to walking up the steps and enjoyed finding different ways back each night. We felt very safe in this location."

"A real hidden gem in Hvar! The apartment is right at the top of the hill near the castle, which is definitely worth being aware of before booking. My husband and I are both fairly fit and active and found the climb completely manageable and absolutely worth it for the views, but it’s something to bear in mind if you have mobility issues or don’t fancy a steep walk back after being in town. The apartment itself was more than spacious enough for the two of us, very clean and had full kitchen facilities, so it would also work really well for a longer stay. The absolute shining star, though, was the balcony. The views were beautiful and it was such a lovely space to sit and enjoy Hvar, easily one of our favourite things about the stay. Our host was lovely too. Most communication was via WhatsApp, which was really easy, but she was based nearby so we did get to meet her. She even rescued one of my husband’s T-shirts after it flew off the balcony! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose Bocin Rosso again if we returned to Hvar. The location, space and especially that balcony made it feel like a bit of a hidden gem."

"The property is located on top of a steep route with steps so anyone that plans to walk from the promenade or the ferry station, better come prepared. Our group was composed of 60 year olds and it was a challenge. I would probably avoid this hotel if you aren't renting a car and plan to walk down to the promenade. Room was clean but is very small. There is no place in the bathroom to keep your cosmetic bag. No luggage rack in the room so everything is on the bed. The shower was leaking. Good breakfast but with 5 buildings on the property and only one station for an omelette, we decided to skip. The staff for the most part are helpful but when we asked for an extra pod of coffee for the room, they said that you are allowed only 2 pods / day. Totally unnecessary. It's the small things that win customers not the splashy advertising."
